The Child Nutrition Managers at Russellville City Schools recently completed the ServSafe training and certification program.
ServSafe is the food service industry's leading food safety training program, because it provides the latest information and tools for the industry to use everyday.
This certification is recognized by more federal, state and local jurisdictions than any other food safety program.
The ServSafe training enables each manger to evaluate their own current food safety practices as well as enhancing their skills as a trainer for other Child Nutrition staff members.
The Alabama State Board of Health of Environmental Services for Food Establishment Sanitation recognizes the importance of the ServSafe Food Safety Program by providing two extra points on routine health inspections above the overall score.
