    April 8, 2007
    Margaret Cochran, 79, of Hodges died April 8, 2007 at her residence.
    Funeral services were held April 10th and Hodges Church of Christ with Bro. Steve Gober officiating. Burial followed in Old Line Cemetery.
    She was born March 18, 1929 to Daniel and Delia McCarley Hicks. She was a member of Hodges Church of Christ and a homemaker.
    Her husband, Rinard Cochran; a son, Danny Cochran; and three brothers, James Hicks, Lee Hicks, and Harrison Hicks preceded her in death.
    Survivors include sisters, Lola Brand, of Guin, and Marie Williams, of Hodges, and a host of nieces and nephews.
    Pallbearers were Truman Scott, Jerry Hastings, and Ronnie Holland.
    Deaton Funeral Home is Red Bay assisted the family.
    Elsie E. Mitchell, 89, of Red Bay, died April 8, 2007 at her residence.
    Funeral services were held April 11 at Deaton Funeral Home with Bro. Billy Nichols and Bro. Danny Stanford officiating. Burial followed in Dempsey Cemetery.
    She was born September 28, 1917 in Franklin County to Charles Anderson and Laura Francis Guinn Wilson. She was a factory worker at Worwick in Zion, Illinois, and was a charter member of Friendship Baptist Church.
    Her husband, Orville Mitchell, her parents, and three brothers, Claude Wilson, Clarence Wilson, and Lester Wilson; and sister Rader Pierce, preceded her in death.
    Survivors include a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews, and a host of neighbors and friends.
    Pallbearers were Jaime Harrison, Scotty Hardin, Jon Taylor, Phillip Hardin, Greg Istvanek, and Jason Harrison.
    Deaton Funeral Home assisted the family.
    Peggy Ann Lynch
    April 8, 2007
    Peggy Ann Lynch, 54, of Red Bay, died April 8, 2007 at her daughter's residence in Red Bay.
    Funeral services were held April 11. Bro. Mickey Trammel and Bro. Bobby Stancil officiated.
    She was born January 17, 1953 in New Site, Mississippi to Troy and Flora Mae Wilemon Lynch. She was a factory worker and a former employee of Falcon. She was a member of Golden Central Baptist Church.
    Her parents and her four brothers, Larry Wilemon, Ted Wilemon, James Wilemon, and Roy Wilemon preceded her in death.
    Survivors include her three daughters, Loretta Robinson (Greg), of Red Bay, Kim Nunley (Greg), Golden, Mississippi, and Misty Shotts (Jesse) of Columbus, Georgia; two brothers, Bobby Joe Wilemon (Kathryn) and Jackie Wilemon, all of Belmont, Mississippi; three sisters, Betty Bentley (Anthony), Cathy George, and Patsy Elrod, all of Red Bay; five grandchildren, Brent Robinson, Clint Robinson, and Evan Robinson, of Red Bay, and Cody Tucker and Laken Tucker, of Golden, Mississippi.
    Deaton Funeral Home assisted the family.
    William "Junior" Creekmore
    April 9, 2007
    William "Junior" Creekmore, 82, of Kenosha, Wisconsin, died April 9,2007 at the Care Center of Red Bay.
    The graveside service was held April 12 with Bro. Tom Scott officiating. Burial followed at Ebenezer Cemetery.
    He was born December 15, 1924 in Alabama to William Jasper and Eva Jackson Creekmore. He was an employee of American Motors for 36 and a half years, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. His first wife, Delphia Creekmore; his second wife, Betty Creekmore; his son, Bobby Creekmore; his parents; sister, Viola Humphries; and two brothers, Hollis Creekmore and Willard Creekmore, preceded him in death.
    Survivors include his granddaughter, Melinda Creekmore, of Kenosha, Wisconsin; one brother, Vernon Creekmore, Lexington, Tennessee; daughter-in-law, Debbie Creekmore, Kenosha, Wisconsin; several nieces and nephews; and two special friends and caregivers, So Young Platt and Bok Yae An, of Kenosha, Wisconsin.
    Pallbearers were Harold Creekmore, Jimmy Tate, Jack Hice, Wayne Edwards, Mike Jones, and Wesley Miller.
    In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Ebenezer Cemetery Fund.
    Deaton Funeral Home assisted the family.
    Ellen M. Boyd
    April 10, 2007
    Ellen M. Boyd, 85, of Golden, Mississippi, died April 10, 2007 at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital.
    Funeral services were held April 13 at the Deaton Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Dee Brown officiated. Burial followed at Itawamba Memorial Gardens in Fulton, Mississippi.
    She was born April 19, 1921 in Franklin County to James and Ellen Modean Humphres Martin, She was Head Teacher with Mississippi Action for Progress and a member of Mt. Olive United Methodist Church in Tremont, Mississippi.
    Her husband, Stansel Boyd; her parents; daughters, Jeanette Rayburn and Carolyn Wilson, a grandson, Bill Watson, and her brothers and sisters preceded her in death.
    Survivors include her children, Jerry Boyd (Linda), of Florence, Joel Boyd (Karen), Sonny Boyd (Lori Boyd), all of Golden, Mississippi, and Randy Boyd (Sherry), of Mantachie, Mississippi; sister, Rillia Johnson, of Red Bay; grandchildren, Davind Rayburn, Tina Boyd, Judy Blain, Annessa Marshall, Mary Ellen Allen, Tara Enlow, Garry Boyd, Jospeh Boyd, and Drew Boyd;and eight great-grandchildren.
    Pallbeaers were Jospeh Boyd, Garry Boyd, Drew Boyd, David Rayburn, Joey Allen, and Austin Marshall.
    In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Mt. Olive United Methodist Church, in Tremont, Mississippi.
    Deaton Funeral Home assisted the family.
    Ann Humphres
    April 12, 2007
    Ann Humphres, 69, of Vina, died April 12, 2007 at Red Bay Hospital.
    Funeral services were held April 14 at the Deaton Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Buford Parker officiated. Burial followed in Ebenezer Cemetery.
    She was born October 13, 1937 in Vina to Jessie B. and Nettie Johnson Knight, She was the cafeteria manager at Vina High School. She was a member of Hurricane Creek Baptist Church.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bert Knight, Bill Knight, and Jessie Wayne Knight; and sister, Pauline Turbyfil.
    Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Leo Humphres, Vina; son, David Humphres (Pam) of Vina; sister, Carolyn Palmer (Jerry) of Vina; brother, Bob Knight (Nell) of Vina; and grandchildren, Justin Humphres and Jordan Humphres, of Vina.
    Deaton Funeral Home assisted the family.
