Lady Bobcats win PC Tourney

The Phil Campbell Lady Bobcats went 4 for 4 in the Bobcat Classic Tournament, Saturday and kept the title in town limits.
Phil Campbell 6, Tharptown 0
Melissa Russell pitched four innings in the final game of the tournament against Tharptown, striking out 9, and allowing no hits, or runs for the win. Russell stuck out 32 batters in the four games, and only allowed 8 hits in the entire tournament.
Kim Clark pitched the last inning of the final game , allowing only one hit
Carrie Fell, Chasity Morgan and Hannah Nix led the way for the Bobcats, scoring two hits a piece.

Belgreen 3
In game three of the tournament, Melissa Russell pitched all five innings in the win against Belgreen, striking out five and allowing five hits.
Shaela Pace went 3/3 with three singles and one stolen base to lead the Lady Bobcats. Shelly Cooper had two hits, with one run, one stolen base and two singles. Caitlin Stancil added one hit for the Bobcats.

Mt. Hope 3
In game two of the tournament, Melissa Russell pitched all 4 innings in the win against Mt. Hope, striking out six, walking six. She gave up two hits, three runs and two earned runs.
Alexis Maggerie led the way for the Bobcats, going 2/2, with two singles and one stolen base. Melissa Russell, Chasity Morgan and Shaela Pace added one hit each in the win.
Phil Campbell 5, Tharptown 0
In game one of the tournament, Melissa Russell stuck out 12, walked two, and only allowed one hit in the Bobcats 5-0 win over the Tharptown Wildcats.
Shelly Cooper led the way for the Bobcats, going 2/3 at the plate, with 2 runs and two singles. Hannah Nix also went 2/3, with one single and one stolen base. Erica Holcomb, Alexis Maggerise, and Tiffany Miller added one hit a piece.
