Busts net drugs and drug paraphernalia

The Russellville Police Department and the Franklin County Special Response Team executed two search warrants Wednesday afternoon, resulting in seven arrests.
The Russellville Police Department received information about possible drug activity and prostitution taking place in two apartments located at 305 East Laurence Street in Russellville, which prompted two search warrants, Russellville Police Chief Chris Hargett said.
In the investigation that followed, Jeanie Rebecca Ramos, 34, was charged with possession of controlled substance, Susan Deanna Mixon, 31, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, and Lee Esther Harlan, 58, was charged with possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Stephanie Ann Lovell, 29, of 715 E. Franklin Street in Russellville, was charged with possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Lovell is also known as Stephanie Lane Edwards or Stephanie Ann Lane.
She had previously been granted a six-month suspended sentence after pleading guilty for solicitation to commit prostitution. The district attorney's office is planning to file a motion to have her suspended sentence revoked so that she will have to serve six months in jail, District Attorney Joey Rushing said.
Shane Marshall Rea, 34, of 601 Highway 183 in Phil Campbell, was charged with second-degree possession of marijuana, and Melishia Marie King, 22, of 33 Apple Street in Russellville, was charged with possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, Hargett said.
"This is the third time in the past six months we have searched this location," Hargett said.
In addition to the drug arrests, the Franklin County District Attorney's Investigator took Sheila Mobley, 32, who resides on Highway 99 in Haleyville, into custody for passing a bad check for $256 at a Russellville retail store, Terry Zills, investigator, said.
"Mobley has had numerous arrests for bad checks," Zills said.
Items found during the search include crack cocaine, pipes, and steal wool, which is often used in crack pipes Hargett said.
Harlan is being held in the Franklin County Jail pending a $20,000 cash bond. Mobley has been released from the jail on a $1,000 bond, and the others arrested remain in the Russellville City Jail awaiting a bond hearing.
