RHS tennis sweeps Athens

The Russellville High School tennis teams swept a pair of matches from Athens on Tuesday, with the boys winning 9-0 and the girls claiming a 6-3 victory.
The RHS boys (4-0) dominated singles play, losing just seven games total. T.J. Drake defeated Trent Johnson 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1, and Kiefer Rea cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 win over Corey Smith at No. 2.
Tyler Malone beat Andrew Simms 6-0, 6-2 at No. 3, and Jacob Hill was a 6-1, 6-0 winner over Leslie Williams at No. 4. John Tyler Hardin (6-0, 6-0 over Zach Johns at No. 5) and Carson Hutchins (6-2, 6-1 over Tim Wells at No. 6) finished off the singles sweep for the Golden Tigers.
Drake and Hill posted a 10-6 win at No. 1 doubles. Rea and Malone (10-0 at No. 2) and Hardin and Hutchins (10-0 at No. 3) dominated their respective doubles matches.
On the girls side, Calli Davis led the way for Russellville (2-2) with a 10-0 win over Lib Smith at No. 1 singles. Jordan Dollar defeated Becky Brett 10-2 at No. 3, and Grace Hagedorn was a 10-5 winner over M.P. Noah at No. 4.
Millie Fisher gave Russellville a fourth singles win with a 10-2 victory over Catherine Hurst.
In doubles action, Dollar and Hagedorn defeated Noah and Hurst 10-2 at No. 2. Fisher and Laura Fennel teamed to win 10-4 at No. 3 doubles.
