Natalie Myatt of Meridian has been named to the dean's list at the Savannah College of Art and Design.
Full-time undergraduate students who earn a grade point average of 3.5 or above for the quarter receive recognition on the dean's list. Myatt, an interior design major, is the daughter of Ray Myatt and Regina Myatt.
Pamela Harlan of Macon has been selected to receive the Dr. Lemann and Wilma S. Bounds Scholarship at Meridian Community College. The $1,200 award is funded through the MCC Foundation from an endowment established by Mrs. Bounds.
Harlan is a 2002 honor graduate of Noxubee County High School. A president's list scholar, she is a member of Phi Beta Lambda and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She is combining study in the Medical Office Technology Program and the University Transfer Program.
She plans to pursue a bachelor's of science degree in business administration.
Vankeila Wilson and Rachel Spencer have been selected to receive the Dr. George W. and Ettamac Bounds Memorial Scholarships at Meridian Community College.
The $800 awards are funded through the MCC Foundation from an endowment established by Dr. and Mrs. Lemann Bounds in 1994.
Wilson is a 2004 high honors graduate of West Lauderdale High School. She was named all-district and selected as statewide player of the week in basketball. Wilson is in the University Transfer Program. She is a volunteer for the Boys and Girls Club and the Pee-Wee Basketball League.
Spencer is a 2004 graduate of Northeast High School. She was a member of the National Honor Society, president of the senior class, and captain of the cheerleading squad. Spencer was recognized as an outstanding student of America and an All-American Scholar. She is in the University Transfer Program and plans to pursue a degree in pharmacy.
Lindsey Summerlin of Collinsville has been selected to represent Mississippi as a People to People Student Ambassador to Europe this summer on a 20-day tour of England, Ireland and Wales.
She is in the eighth grade at West Lauderdale Middle School.
