Judie Bounds and Tim Rutledge of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Amber Elizabeth Bounds, to Cade Carson, son of Neal and Dana Carson of Meridian. Miss Bounds is also the daughter of the late Kenneth Karl "Ken" Bounds.
The wedding will be Saturday, Oct. 23, 2004, at 3 p.m. at the home of the bridegroom-elect's grandmother, Jean Griffis of Philadelphia.
Miss Bounds is the granddaughter of the late Brig. Gen. James Lee Bounds and Imelda Loeb Bounds and the late Thomas Lavoid and Elizabeth Smith, all of Meridian.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Southeast Lauderdale High School and received a degree in cosmetology from Final Touch Beauty School.
She is employed at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Mr. Carson is the grandson of Jean Griffis and the late William Harrison "Pat" Griffis, formerly of Chunky, and the late Marshall and Anna Kate Carson of Conehatta.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Meridian High School. He received a bachelor's degree in microbiology from the University of Southern Mississippi and a certificate in perfusion from the Texas Heart Institute School of Perfusion. He is employed at Rush Foundation Hospital.
A reception will be held following the ceremony. Family and friends are invited to attend. No formal invitations will be sent.
