Joni Elizabeth Parker and James Wesley Hollingsworth, both of Meridian, were married Saturday, July 31, 2004, at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Whitaker officiating.
Parents of the couple are Willie and Margaret Parker, and Harold and Brenda Hollingsworth, all of Meridian.
Grandparents of the bride are the late Shade and Margaret Shelby, and the late Estell Alexander and the late Earnest Parker.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are the Rev. Billy and Catherine Whitaker of Quitman, the late Vergia Whitaker, Grace Hollingsworth of Meridian and the late Harold Hollingsworth Sr.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Peggy Harper and Robin Hollingsworth.
The bride wore a white spaghetti strapped gown enhanced with scattered crystal beads, pearls and a flowing train.
Crystal Shelby of Clarkerange, Tenn., was maid of honor. Other attendants were Robin Hollingsworth, Stephanie Pagan and Tiffany Thomley, all of Meridian, and Rebecca Embrey of Chunky.
Kacy Parker of Toomsuba and Jessica Lee of Meridian were flower girls.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man. Groomsmen and ushers were William Parker of Toomsuba, Dennis Parker of Daleville, John Hollingsworth of Meridian and Boo Hollingsworth of the Whynot Community.
Seth McMurray of Bailey was ring bearer. Program attendant was Heather Parker.
A reception was held at the church following the ceremony. Assisting at the reception were Eva Embrey, Becky Joiner, Brandi Hollingsworth and Heather Hollingsworth.
After a honeymoon in Orange Beach, Ala., the couple resides in Meridian.
