Kristin Cheryl Potter of Phil Campbell and Jeremy Allen Stowe of Russellville were united in marriage on July 31, 2004, at 6:30 p.m. at Cypress Lakes Golf and Country Club in Muscle Shoals. Bro. Rockey James and Bro. Merrell Potter, father of the bride, officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Merrell and Regenia Potter of Phil Campbell and the granddaughter of Beaul and Joy Morgan and Earl and Era Potter, all of Phil Campbell.
The groom is the son of Richard and Patty Stowe of Russellville. He is the grandson of Ezelle Cross of Russellville and the late James "Buck" Cross and Meallie Stowe of Russellville and the late Lewis Edward Stowe.
The patio for the outdoor, sunset wedding was decorated with yellow roses, ferns and tulle. Jamie Hutcheson Duboise was the pianist and Lindsey James the vocalist.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, chose a formal gown of diamond white duchess satin. The haltered gown featured swarovski crystals, pearls, sequins and seed beads in a floral pattern at the neckline. A lightly-beaded tulle panel on an a-line skirt fell from the asymmetrical waistline and swept to a sweep train. The laced back featured a repeat of the tulle panels and was outlined with crystals. The bride wore a cathedral-length, beaded veil and carried white roses.
The bridal attendants wore yellow a-line satin gowns featuring a scooped neckline with capped sleeves. They carried yellow mixed bouquets.
Tracey Potter of Phil Campbell, sister-in-law of the bride, served as Matron of Honor. Bridesmaids were Kristy Allison, Shayla Baker, Erica Barnes, Courtney Hill, all friends of the bride of Phil Campbell, and Whitney Olive of Tuscaloosa, cousin of the groom. Richard Stowe served his son as Best Man. Groomsmen were Chris Lane of Hackleburg, friend of the groom; Anthony Olive of Birmingham and Jacob Payne of Cullman, cousins of the groom; Shane Stancil of Muscle Shoals, friend of the groom and Derrell Potter of Phil Campbell, brother of the bride.
Kaylynn Morgan and Autumn Thomas of Phil Campbell, nieces of the bride, served as flowergirls.
A reception was held at the Country Club to honor the couple. Reception assistants were Debbie Potter, Charlotte Thomas, Teresa Olive, Cathy Payne, Jane Stowe, Ann Battcher and April Holliman.
After a wedding trip to Gulf Shores, the couple resides in Cullman.
