Mr. and Mrs. John Michael McSweeney of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Leah Elizabeth Meyer, to Christopher Owen Dennis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Leach of Marietta, Ga. Miss Meyer is also the daughter of Lee Rothenberg Meyer Jr. of Meridian.
The wedding will be Saturday, Nov. 6, 2004, at the Perdido Beach Resort in Orange Beach, Ala.
Miss Meyer is the granddaughter of Mrs. Reuben S. Johnson Jr. of Meridian and the late Mr. Johnson, and Mrs. Lee R. Meyer of Meridian and the late Mr. Meyer.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Meridian High School and received a bachelor's degree in family and consumer science from the University of Mississippi.
While at Ole Miss, she was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority.
Miss Meyer is a benefits consultant with Northwestern Benefit Corporation of Georgia in Atlanta.
Mr. Dennis is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Ray and the late Mr. and Mrs. Loyd Dennis of Wetumpka, Ala.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Walton High School in Marietta and received a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Georgia.
While at the University of Georgia, he was a member of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity.
Mr. Dennis is an underwriter for Allmerica Financial/Hannover Insurance in Atlanta.
