PHILADELPHIA Graveside services for Betty Joe Turner will be held today at 2 p.m. at Coldwater Cemetery with the Dr. Dan Howard officiating. McClain-Hayes Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Turner, 75, of Philadelphia, died Friday, Sept. 17, 2004, in her home. She was a native of the Coldwater Community of Neshoba County where she also attended school. She was retired from the Citizens Bank of Philadelphia after 35 years as a teller. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Philadelphia and was a supporter of the Animal Rescue League.
Survivors include her sister, Janell Shepherd of Philadelphia; two nieces; two nephews; and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Teab and Della Turner; a sister, Effie Smith; and two brothers, John Martin Turner and Bill Turner.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or a favorite charity.
YORK, Ala. Services for Joseph "Joe" Wayne Brown will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Bumpers Funeral Home chapel with Dr. Bob Simmons officiating. Burial will be in Chestnut Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Brown, 64, of York, died Friday, Sept. 17, 2004, at Hill Hospital.
Survivors include his brothers, Jack Brown of Meridian, Miss., John Brown of York, Gaston Brown of Long Beach, Miss., and David Brown of Quitman, Miss.; and sisters, Ouida Markham of Meridian, Mary Hicks of York and Martha Radcliffe of Mobile.
Visitation will be held today from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

PHILADELPHIA Services for Willis J. Ward will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Bloomfield Congregational Methodist Church with the Revs. Buddy Covington and Jimmie Holder officiating. Burial will be in Bloomfield Cemetery with McClain-Hayes Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Ward, 80, of Philadelphia, died Saturday, Sept. 18, 2004, at Neshoba County General Hospital. He was a native and lifelong resident of Neshoba County. He retired from Wells-Lamont Corp. after many years of service. He was a member of Bloomfield Congregational Methodist Church where he had served as deacon, steward and trustee. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Earline Ward of Philadelphia; a daughter, Linda Reed and her husband, Joe, of Carrollton; sons, Ronnie Ward and his wife, Betty, of Philadelphia and Kendall Ward and his wife, Arda, of Union; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Hazel McKinnon and her husband, Junior, of Philadelphia.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Carlie Ward.
Pallbearers will be Clay Brown, Frankie Killen, Robert Morris, Chris Sessums, Barry Ward, Vince Ferguson, Bradley Morris, Chris Reed, Brock Ward and Brandon Reed.
Visitation will be held today from 4 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

PHILADELPHIA Services for Dan T. Jordan will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at John E. Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. John Stephens officiating. Burial will be in Union Ridge Cemetery in Noxapater.
Mr. Jordan, 78, of Noxapater, died Friday, Sept. 17, 2004, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife, Dessie M. Jordan of Noxapater; a daughter, Betty Phillips and her husband, Deane, both of Noxapater; sons, Jerry Jordan and Danny Jordan, both of Noxapater; brothers, Charles Jordan of Indianapolis, and W.J. Estes of Salinas, Calif.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held today from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Graveside services for Christopher Charles Harwell will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Magnolia Cemetery with the Rev. Greg Proctor officiating. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Infant Harwell, of Meridian, died Friday, Sept. 10, 2004, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Survivors include his parents, Chip Harwell and Stacey Moffett Harwell; a brother, Michael Harwell; sisters, Heather Harwell and Avery Harwell; paternal grandfather, Conner Harwell; maternal grandmother, Linda Moffett Mir; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Bobbie Harwell; and his maternal grandfather, Robert Moffett.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
Visitation will be held Monday at 12:30 p.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
