Gene Ross benefit fund set

Friends of Gene Ross have established a benefit fund for the Dalewood resident, who is battling cancer.
Ross is a member of the Lauderdale Baptist Church. He and his wife, Connie, are currently at the Houston Texas Cancer Center, where he is receiving treatments to prepare him for surgery.
Donations can be made to the Gene Ross Benefit Fund, at Community Bank, 301 22nd Ave. S.
There also will be a benefit rifle giveaway to benefit Ross. This rifle is a Weathserby Accumark rifle, stainless steel fluted barrel, synthetic stock, a caliber of choice.
The rifle is a $1,200 value. The winner will be announced on Oct. 29 by The Breakfast Bunch on 97.1 WOKK. Tickets are $5 each and you must pass a background check. Tickets may be purchased at Mid-South Welding Supply, 505 51st. Ave.; Motion Industries, 5124 Arundel Road; and Specialty Machine and Welding Service, 345 Hawkins Crossing Road.
