PHILADELPHIA Services for Polly Luke Cumberland will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Beam officiating. Burial will be in Coy Methodist Church Cemetery in Preston.
Mrs. Cumberland, 79, of Philadelphia, died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2004, at Riley Hospital. She was born and raised in Kemper County and made her home in Philadelphia. She was the retired director of the Neshoba County Department of Human Services. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Philadelphia. She served on the board of directors of the Philadelphia-Neshoba County Public Library. She had been a member and officer of the American Cancer Society, the March of Dimes and the Philadelphia B&PW Club, where she was selected Woman of the Year.
Survivors include her son, Luke Cumberland and his wife, Susan, of Meridian; granddaughters, Annie Cumberland of Bay St. Louis and Sara Cumberland of Meridian; extended family "daughters," Beth Henson and Gail Cochran, both of Philadelphia; a sister, Marceline Luke of Preston; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton "Jack" Cumberland.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Visitation will be Friday beginning at noon at the funeral home.

Services for John C. Ross Sr. will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Nathan Bargo officiating. Burial will be in Blackwater Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Ross, 69, of Meridian, died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2004, in his home.
Survivors include his son, John Cecil Ross Jr. of Gulf Shores, Ala.; a sister, Marie Gatlin of Planterville, Texas; and a brother, Billy Gene Ross of Gulfport.
Visitation will be Friday from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Services for Winona H. Reetz will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Highland Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Carl White officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Reetz, 78, of Meridian, died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2004, at The Specialty Hospital of Meridian. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church for more than 40 years.
Survivors include her son, Thomas Watkins and his wife, Donna, of Brandon; step-sons, Steve Reetz of Meridian and Bob Reetz of Ocean Springs; grandchildren, Shanna Watkins, Wade Watkins and Catherine Nause; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Lou Rea of Sebastopol, Doris Irby of Meridian and Nita Sanders of Pell City, Ala.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Reetz.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children Research Center.
Visitation will be Friday 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home and Saturday 10 a.m. until service time at the church.
Services for Rosie Robertson will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Bethel United Methodist Church. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery. Berry and Gardner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Robertson, 83, of Shubuta, died Friday, Sept. 3, 2004, at Houston Hospice in Houston, Texas.
Survivors include her nieces and nephews.
Homemaker
Services for Annie L. Griffin will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Enterprise Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Chunkyville Cemetery in Chunky.
Mrs. Griffin, 81, of Meridian, died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2004, in Meridian.
Survivors include her sons, Charles Griffin, Howard Griffin and David Griffin; a daughter, Martha Griffin; brothers, Doug Rhone, George Rhone, Jim Paul Rhone and Frank Rhone; sisters, Maxine Rhone and Georgia Lee Rhone, all of Meridian; 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew J. Brown and Lula Phillips.
Visitation will be Friday from 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Arrangements were incomplete at James F. Webb Funeral Home for Colinne M. Parker, 78, of Meridian, who died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2004, at Beverly Healthcare-Broadmoor.
