Purvis, Eubanks

Shannon L. Eubanks and Steven Troy Purvis, both of Meridian, were married on Saturday, May 22, 2004, at Highland Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Carl White officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. James Thomas Eubanks and Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Gale Purvis, all of Meridian.
Grandparents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Flynt Lamar Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Ray Eubanks.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. T.C. Vincent and the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry D. Purvis of Purvis.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Tammy Miles, pianist; Greer Goldman, organist; and the Rev. T.R. Darsey and Rebekah McCay, soloists.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless gown of pearl satin, featuring a V-shaped embroidered bodice with pearl and crystal accents. The princess-style skirt swept into a chapel-length train featuring crystal and pearl beading on the hemline.
For her headpiece, the bride wore a chapel-length veil embroidered with pearl and sequins, anchored by a pearl and crystal tiara.
Rebekah Leigh McCay of Meridian served as maid of honor. Other attendants were Kimberly Bounds Eubanks and Jennifer Barnes Sparks, both of Meridian; Rachel White Thomas of Jackson; Elizabeth Carlisle White of Waco, Texas; Laura Ann Harris of Greenville; and Molly Litchfield Judson of West Point.
Erin Blake Eubanks of Meridian was flower girl.
The bridegroom's father served as best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Edwin Michael Purvis, Vincent Todd Purvis, Aaron Shaun Eubanks, Paul Edwin Goodnight, Douglas Keith Bush, Jacob Michael Purvis and Jonathan Lee Dawkins, all of Meridian; Gerald John McLaughlin of Birmingham, Ala; and Wesley Graham Braswell of Mobile, Ala.
Joshua Todd Purvis of Meridian was ring bearer. Program attendants were Stephanie Dawkins, Kayla Eubanks, Marla Eubanks and Braeden Smith.
A reception was held at Briarwood Country Club following the ceremony. Assisting were Raelene Dawkins, Dawn Eubanks, Barbara Eubanks, Nancy Smith and Debbie Braswell.
After a honeymoon in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the couple resides in Meridian.
