Boswell votes no to pay county's June bills

Lauderdale County District 5 Supervisor Ray Boswell cast the sole no vote Monday to accept the claims docket and pay the county's June bills.
After the meeting, Boswell declined to comment on specific concerns he had with the docket but he said he would be looking more closely into some of the county's expenditures.
Part of his concerns, he said, involve the March trip the other four supervisors, county officials and attorneys, and a financial advisor took to New York to meet with the county's bond rating agency.
Boswell did not go on the trip, which he said was unnecessary.
