PHILADELPHIA Services for Clinton Buck Parker will be held today at 2 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel with the Revs. Dennis Duvall and Chris Vowell officiating. Burial will be in Cedarlawn Cemetery in Philadelphia.
Mr. Parker, 82, of Philadelphia, died Thursday, May 6, 2004, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian. He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include two sons, Harold Parker of Picayune and Danny Parker of Union; four grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; three stepdaughters, Sherri Friend of Mineral Wells, Texas, Yvonne Bozeman and Rebecca Johnson, both of Philadelphia; two stepsons, Willard McCrory and Frank McCrory, both of Philadelphia; five sisters, Lessie Lee Tingle, Jo Ann Seale and Betty Jean Perry, all of Philadelphia, Sarah Holmes of Morton and Mary Jeanette Roach of Tupelo; two brothers, Adolphus Parker of Philadelphia and Aaron Parker of Mountain View, Ark.
He was preceded in death by two wives, Murlene Parker and Sadie Ruth Parker.
YORK, Ala. Services for Margaret Wilson Vines will be held today at 2 p.m. at York Baptist Church with the Rev. Dudley Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Sumter Memorial Gardens cemetery. Bumpers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Vines, 87, of York, died Thursday, May 6, 2004, at Shelby Baptist Hospital in Alabaster.
Survivors include two daughters, Ronnie Sue Haney of Calera, and Margaret Ann Lewis of Greenville; two brothers, John Hatcher Wilson of Orange Beach and Joe Mack Wilson of Mobile; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today beginning one hour prior to the service at the church.
UNION Services for Clara B. Harris will be held today at 2:30 p.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Hilton Moore officiating. Burial will be in Fellowship Cemetery. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Harris, 83, of Bay Springs, formerly of the Straton community, died Thursday, May 6, 2004, at Jasper County Nursing Home in Bay Springs. She was a retired factory worker.
Survivors include a son, Carl W. Harris and his wife, Carolyn, of Taylorsville; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Dewitt Bradley and Lamar Bradley, both of Union; a sister, Flora M. Barnett of Union; a special friend, Therel Nowell of Union; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Webb C. Harris.
Visitation will be today from noon until service time at the funeral home.
LAUREL Graveside service for Willard Conner will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Cotton Cemetery in Noxubee. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Conner, 77, of Laurel, died Friday, May 7, 2004.
Survivors include three daughters, Judy Royals of Laurel, Susan Wilson of Stringer and Kim Ainsworth of Summerland; a brother, Lawrence Conner of Shuqualak; and three sisters, Audrey Thomas of Texas and Erah Conner and Shirley Rogers, both of Shuqualak.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred S. Conner; and a son, Charles Conner.
PHILADELPHIA Services for Christina "Tina" Kelly will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Hight Assembly of God church in Noxapater with the Revs. Fred Frazier, Mackie Amacker and James McFall officiating. Burial will be in Hight Cemetery. McClain-Hays Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
Miss Kelly, 17, of Noxapater, died Thursday, May 6, 2004, in Noxapater. She worked as a waitress at Lake Tiak-O'Khata in Louisville. She was a native of the Noxapater community in Winston County. She attended Hight Assembly of God. She began working as a waitress when she was 15 years old.
Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Jean and Chris Smith of Noxapater; her father and stepmother, Tony and Elizabeth Kelly of Louisville; three sisters, Jayme Eels of Shepherd City, Md., Gwen Smith of Waycross, Ga., and Shawna Smith of Noxapater; five brothers, Jeremy Kelly of Gulfport, Nathan Kelly and Caleb Kelly, both of Louisville, Preston Smith of Grovertown, Ind., and Casey Smith of Noxapater; her maternal grandparents, Larry and Odessa Collins of Noxapater; paternal grandmother, Waudine Roberts of Noxapater; stepgrandparents, Katherine and Z.A. Smith of Noxapater, and Karen Raper of Monahans, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Clifton Roberts and Howard Kelly; and her godmother, Linda Knotts.
Visitation will be today from 4 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home in Philadelphia and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Services for Ruby M. Robinson will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mrs. Robinson, 98, of Meridian, died Friday, May 7, 2004, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Chunky Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Billy J. Robinson and his wife, Frances, of Meridian; a granddaughter, Karol Vaughn and her husband, Chris, of Meridian; a grandson, Steve Robinson of Meridian; two great-grandchildren, Taylor Vaughn and Chloe Robinson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie S. Robinson.
The family requests memorials be made to Chunky Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Sunday from 3 p.m.-5 p.m. at the funeral home.
Services for Amanda Mincy will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Fairview Baptist Church in Butler, Ala., with the Rev. T.S. Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery with Berry &Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Mincy, 72, of Marion, died Thursday, May 6, 2004, at Guardian Angel Hospice.
Survivors include four sisters, Lucy Jones of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Annie Pope of Lauderdale, Addie B. Jones of Butler, Ala., and Ora M. Jones of Marion.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
UNION Arrangements were incomplete at Milling Funeral Home for Virginia Ruth Madden Yates, 78, of Evansville, Ind., who died Thursday, May 6, 2004, at Deaconess Baptist Hospital in Evansville. Burial will be in Gilmer's Chapel Church Cemetery.
DEKALB Arrangements were incomplete at E.E. McDonald Funeral Home for Willie Paul Powell of Meridian who died Friday, May 7, 2004, in his home.
