QUITMAN Services for Alton B. Miller will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Shubuta with the Rev. Jim Harris officiating. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Quitman. Wright's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Miller, 90, of Shubuta, died Wednesday, April 14, 2004, in his home. He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include a son, Bruce Miller and his wife, Gerti Dartsch-Miller of Oakland, Calif.; three step sons, Tom Evans and Dale Evans, both of Blue Springs, Mo., and Wayne Evans of Phoenix, Ariz.; four step grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; three nieces; and three nephews.
The family requests memorials be made to Shubuta Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the church.
Systems analyst
Graveside services for Billy Odell Todd will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Magnolia Cemetery. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Todd, 63, of Meridian, died Thursday, April 15, 2004, in his home. He was an honorary member of the Willie Neal Sunday School Class and a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a York and Scottish Rite Shriner.
Survivors include his wife, Hilda Ruth Todd, of Meridian; a special niece, Ashley Cofield of Meridian; his step mother, Edith Todd Jordan of Gilbertown, Ala.; four brothers, John T. "Tommy" Todd and Rodney Todd, both of Meridian, Pete Ward and Ralph Todd, both of Gilbertown; six sisters, Hilda Booth, Lura Lee and Margaret Bradford, all of Meridian, Ruthie Atchley of Biloxi, and Martha Clark and Penny Lee, both of Gilbertown; a special brother-in-law, Billy Ray Goodman; and special sisters-in-law, Carolyn Goodman and Martha Mann.
He was preceded in death by his father, Buddy Odell Todd; his mother, Helen Todd Fitzpatrick; a sister, Linda Sue Todd; and a brother, Robert Earl Todd.
Pallbearers will be Paul E. Worthy, Russell A. Lee, Doug Todd, Billy Ray Goodman Jr., Will Clark, James Ivy and Roy Hurst.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of Willie Neal Sunday School class.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

QUITMAN Services for Robert "Bobby" Touchstone were held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Stonewall Methodist Church. Burial was in the Stonewall Cemetery. Wright's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Touchstone, 74, of Montgomery, Ala., formerly of Quitman, died Monday, April 12, 2004, in Montgomery. He was born in Stonewall on April 26, 1929. He had lived in Montgomery since 1971 and was the owner and manager of A-1 Hurricane Fence until his retirement in 1992.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Yvonne Smith Touchstone of Montgomery; children, Dennis Touchstone of Sonoma, Calif., R. Steven Touchstone of Mobile, Candi English of Anchorage, Alaska, and Melody Touchstone of Pensacola, Fla.; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; brothers, Ralph Touchstone, Gene Touchstone and Frank Touchstone, all of Stonewall; sisters, Valeria Oglesby and Vashti Overby, both of Meridian, and Amelia Huddleston of Little Rock.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J.R. "Bob" and Helen Williams Touchstone; and a daughter, Sandra Y. Powell.
