Retired Southern Railroad employee
Services for James A. White will be held today at 11:30 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Frank Tribble officiating. Burial will be in Graham Cemetery.
Mr. White, 80, of Meridian, died Sunday, March 28, 2004, at Riley Hospital. He was a veteran of World War II, a Mason with Oakland Heights Lodge No. 557 and a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.
Survivors include his daughter, Gloria Davis and her husband, Paul; a son, Roger Apperson and his wife, Diane, all of Meridian; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Christine White; parents, D.B. White and Vivian Fairchild White.
Pallbearers will be Buddy Thomas, Bradley Johnson, Anthony Walker, Jamie Apperson, Mike Kimbrell and Gary Davis.

DEKALB Services for Gerold S. Galloway will be held today at 1:30 p.m. at Hopewell United Methodist Church with the Rev. David Keller officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Stephens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Galloway, 74, of Marion, died Monday, March 29, 2004, at Guardian Angel Hospice in Marion. He was a retired hotel manager with Holiday Inns. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his brother, Herman Galloway and his wife, Mozell, of Yazoo City; a sister, Frances Warren of Philadelphia; sisters-in-law, Jacquelin Galloway of Hickory and Jessie Galloway of DeKalb; a brother-in-law, Waldo Harbour of the Damascus Community; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Sylvester and Willie Bell Roberts Galloway; five sisters, Ervene Hudnall, Lorene Hudnall, Viva Johnson, Evelyn Jolly and Margaret Harbour; brothers, Orin Galloway, James Galloway and Lester Galloway.
Pallbearers will be Steven Curtis, Keith Galloway, Frankie Harbour, Ben Jolly, Jason Jolly and Charles Johnson.

Graveside services for Albert Langford will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Mt. Gilean Baptist Church in Toomsuba with the Rev. Jim Rickles officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Clark's Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Langford, 43, of Toomsuba, died Tuesday, March 30, 2004, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Survivors include his father, Henry Earl "Jim" Langford; his step-mother, June Langford of Columbus, Ga.; a sister, Nadine Djukich of California; half-brothers, Paul Pinson of Hammond, La., and Walter Langford of Columbus, Ga.; aunts, Opal Gressett Dills of Vancleave and Kathleen Gressett Fontaine of Pensacola, Fla.; and two nieces, Sara Pinson and Katie Pinson, both of Hammond.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Eula Katie Gressett Phillips.
Visitation will be today 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Services for Murry J. Coleman will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Marion with the Revs. Steven Jerdon and James Guy officiating. Burial will be in Enterprise Cemetery. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Coleman of Marion, died Tuesday, March 30, 2004, at Rush Foundation Hospital. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Marion, the Lakeview Golf Course, a Shriner and a Mason.
Survivors include his wife, Marsha Coleman of Meridian; sons, John Coleman and his wife, Joann, of Stonewall and Gary Coleman and his wife, Ann, of Marion; daughters, Margaret Ann Delasey and her husband, Joe, of Marion, Terry Dasafirck and her husband, Allen, of Temple, Ga., Diane Coleman and Jennie Risher, both of Meridian, Debbie Crevitt and her husband, Larry, of Meridian, Heidi Guy and her husband, James, of Demopolis, Ala., and Lori Oberstreet of Mobile, Ala.; 21 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home and 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.
SEBASTOPOL Services for Deshaun Anderson will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church in Conehatta with the Rev. Mark Patrick officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Milling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Deshaun, 1 year old, of Conehatta, died Monday, March 29, 2004, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
Survivors include his mother, Veltina Anderson of Conehatta; his father, Robert Lee Jim of Carthage; his step-father, Lance Thomas of Conehatta; a brother, Tayshaun Thomas of Conehatta; maternal grandparents, Valerie Anderson and Mack Anderson, both of Conehatta; paternal step-grandparents, Sherry Jim and Terry Jim, both of Conehatta; maternal great-grandfather, Leon Tubby of Philadelphia; paternal grandmother, Adalyn Jim of Carthage; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Tony Jim Sr.
Visitation will be at 1836 Will Brown Road in Conehatta until service time on Friday.

Mr. Blanks, 92, of San Jose, Calif., died Sunday, March 28, 2004, at Regional Medical Center in San Jose.
Survivors include his daughter, Clotia Blanks of San Francisco; sisters, Virgie Mae Blanks, Ollie Thompson and Ornice Blanks, all of Meridian; a brother, John Blanks of Porterville; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife and parents.
Visitation will be Friday 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

PHILADELPHIA Services for Ann Barnett were held Monday at 4 p.m. at John E. Stephens Chapel with the Revs. Bobby Ferguson and Jay Murphy officiating. Burial was in Coldwater Cemetery.
Mrs. Barnett, 63, of Philadelphia, died Saturday, March 27, 2004, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include her daughters, Brenda Rowell and her husband, Earl, and Lisa Coats and her husband, Ray, all of Union, Penny Sullivan and her husband, Matthew, and Brandy Hutchinson and her husband, Jamie, all of Philadelphia; three sons, Bo John Barnett and his wife, Mary, James Barnett and his wife, Joyce, and Lewis Barnett and his wife, Paula, all of Philadelphia; a sister, Marie Waldrop of Madison Heights, Mich.; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sad Barnett.

Services for Martha Christine Butler Joyner were held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Jamie Lamoreaux officiating. Burial was in Bethany Cemetery.
Mrs. Joyner, 89, of Meridian, died Thursday, March 25, 2004, in Meridian. She was a member of Pine Springs Southern Methodist Church and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include her daughters, Martha Quam, Donna Moring and Sherry Raines, all of Meridian, Gail Joiner and Judy O'Neal, both of Philadelphia; sons, Samuel Golden of Meridian and Jerry Golden of Collinsville; 19 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lavelle Joyner; and her son, Donald Golden.
Pallbearers were Billy Rawson, Dan Silverman, Corey Raines, Dave Nance, Scott Miller and Charlie Miller.
Arrangements were incomplete at Barham Funeral Home for Jimmie Bufkin, 90, of Hickory, who died Wednesday, March 31, 2004, at Bedford Care Center.
