Rosalind Marie Evans and Samuel Glenn Buckalew were married at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2003, at the home of the bride's parents with the Rev. T.R. Darsey officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Howard Frank Evans of Meridian, and Mr. and Mrs. James Alan Buckalew of Whynot.
The bridegroom is the grandson of Ruby Buckalew of Whynot.
Nuptial music was provided by Greer Goldman, organist.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a pearl hued satin gown featuring beaded spaghetti straps with a simple satin bodice. The dropped waistline featured a scalloped banding with intricate beading over a simple A-line skirt which flowed into a chapel-length train.
Joyce E. Sullivan, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man. Benjy Baskin of Meridian recited a poem for the couple during the lighting of the unity candle.
The couple resides in the Whynot community.
