It was the same story, but just on a different night for the Southeast Lauderdale Lady Tigers.
The Lady Tigers, ranked No. 5 in the state by the Associated Press, posted an early 12-0 run that built into a lead that Newton County could never overcome as Southeast Lauderdale moved to 24-1 with a 102-60 win on Tuesday night.
Southeast Lauderdale head coach Joe Miller was pleased not only with the win, but with the bench play from his team.
Southeast Lauderdale started the game on the 12-0 run behind four points apiece from Stacey Tate and Lashondra Mitchell. Newton County finally broke up the scoring run with 5:15 left on a jump shot from Nesha Ramsey to cut the lead to 12-2.
The Lady Tigers went back to work to outscore the Lady Cougars 19-6 to end the first quarter and hold a very comfortable 31-8 lead.
Hall had an unbelievable first quarter for Southeast Lauderdale with 11 points and hall ended the night with a team-high 23 points.
The second quarter was much of the same as the Lady Tigers went on a 12-2 run to lengthen the lead to 43-10 with 5:45 left in the second. Southeast Lauderdale led 61-22 at the half and rolled to the home court win over Newton County.
The big highlight of the second quarter was 17 points from Shalonda Mitchell. Hall and Mitchell both finished the game with 23 points apiece for Southeast Lauderdale. Sam Smith ended the night with 15 points, while Tate added 12 in the win. Quita Reed also chipped in with 11 points off the bench to give Southeast Lauderdale five players in double figures.

Ricardo Alcanter led Newton County in the second quarter with 12 points to lead the Cougars on a 17-4 run.
Newton County put the game away in the opening minutes of the third quarter with nine forced turnovers that led to 12 points to give the Cougars a 53-28 lead that would be enough for the win.
