QUITMAN Graveside services for Alva Lee "Buddy" Irby will be held today at 11 a.m. at Odd Fellows Cemetery with the Rev. John Kramer officiating. Wright's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Irby, 67, of Quitman, died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2004, at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include his sister, Amelia Irby Hudson of Baton Rouge, La.; daughters, Cathy Creel and Diane Jay, both of Hattiesburg, Mary Kramer of Oxford and Cindy White of Madison.
Memorials may be made to Alan Grey Irby Memorial Scholarship Fund c/o Bank of Quitman.

Services for Julia Nell Chatham will be held today at 11 a.m. at Center Grove Baptist Church with the Revs. Ed Holloman and Irvin Mooney officiating. Burial will be in Center Grove Cemetery. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Chatham, 88, of the Whynot Community, died Monday, Jan. 19, 2004, at Queen City Nursing Center. She was a member of Center Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Avera Nell Garrison and her husband, Roy, and Tommie Moffett and her husband, Roy Lee, all of Meridian; a brother, Bill Hoffer of Hattiesburg; grandchildren, Roy Garrison Jr., Donna Shirley, Ricky Roy Shirley, Micky Ray Garrison, Phillip Moffett and Tilynn Garrison; 11 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harve W. Chatham; an infant son; her parents, Oscar Hoffer and Martha Jane Jay Hoffer; three sisters, Ruth Hoffer, Edna Hoppus and Katherine Przybyszewski.
Pallbearers will be Micky Ray Garrison, Phillip Moffett, M.J. Pogue, Bill Rainer and Ricky Roy Shirley and Lynn Culpepper.
GILBERTOWN, Ala. Services for Mary Grace Carney Lee will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Barrytown Cemetery.
Ms. Lee, 66, of Gilbertown, Ala., died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2004, at Springhill Medical Center in Mobile.
Survivors include her son, Ricky W. Lee and a daughter, Kitty L. Nix and her husband, Butch, all of Silas; brothers, James Earnest Carney, of Alexandria, La., Fred Joseph Carney of Whitehouse, Texas, and Jerry Dean Carney and his wife, JoAnn, of Harrisonburg, La.; sisters, Norma Jeane C. Williams and her husband, Freddie, of Silas and Barbara Faye Heard of Harrisonburg, La.; two grandchildren; one step-grandchild and three step-great-grandchildren.

Services for Ella Mae Stroud will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Jerry Bishop and Ron Leonard officiating. Burial will be in Jones Chapel Church of God Cemetery.
Mrs. Stroud, 63, of Lauderdale, died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2004, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Jones Chapel Church of God and a former member of First Baptist Church of Lauderdale, where she taught preschool children for many years. She was a 4-H leader and an avid arts and crafts enthusiast. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Coy Stroud of Lauderdale; children, Robin Baker, of Lauderdale, Patty McMillan and her husband, Mark, of Meridian and Mark Stroud and his wife, Lee Ann, of Newton; grandchildren, Justin and Jonathan McMillan; sisters, Ann Hale, Elise Hale and Wanda Driscoll and a close friend, Jean Connell.
She was preceded in death by her son, David Stroud; parents, Mamie Z. and James T. Driscoll; a brother, James Oliver Driscoll and her mother and father-in-law, Lena and Lavern Stroud of New Albany.

NEWTON Graveside services for Charles C. Rothhammer will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Lawrence Cemetery with the Rev. Brent Parks officiating. James F. Webb is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Rothhammer, 80, of Philadelphia, formerly of Lawrence, died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2004, at Heartfelt Hospice in Meridian. He was a member of Newton Church of Christ. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in World War II.
Survivors include his daughters, Bobbie Hodgins of Philadelphia and Terrie Sharp of Newton and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty McCord Rothhammer and his parents, Joseph and Nina Greenhaw Rothhammer.
Pallbearers will be Robert Hodgins, Michael Hodgins, Bobby Kinard, Noel Sharp, John Sharp and Al Geter. Honorary pallbearers will be Will Sharp, Casey Sharp, Barry Graham and Brian Parks.

SEBASTOPOL Services for J.B. Price will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Milling Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Randolph Scott and Junior Price officiating. Burial will be in High Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Price, 70, of Union, died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2004, at Rush Foundation Hospital. He was an active member of Golden Grove Church of God.
Survivors include his wife, Lodie Price of Union; a daughter, Linda Carol Boler and her husband, Mickey, of Meridian; a grandson, Michael Eric Boler of Meridian; his mother, Myrtle Price and a sister, Johnnie Ruth Gomillion, both of Lake; brothers, Parmal Price and his wife, Shirley, of Forest, the Rev. Junior Price and his wife, Frances, of Walnut Grove and David Price and his wife, Carolyn, of Carthage; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jason Barry Price and his father, Olen Price.
Pallbearers will be Terry Price, Charlie Russell, Ray Gomillion, Harold Gomillion, Jeff Price and Wayne Gomillion.
