Cooper, Roberson

Robbi Roberson and Shay Parham Cooper, both of Meridian, were married Saturday, May 31, 2003, at First Baptist Church of Collinsville with the Rev. Leslie Grant officiating.
Parents of the couple are Ricky and Lynn Roberson of Meridian, and Harold and Sherryell Cooper of Amory.
Grandparents of the bride are Ikie Ethridge, Jerry Ethridge, Macie Roberson and the late William Roberson.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Hilda Cooper and the late J.W. Cooper, and Mary Parham and the late Chap Parham.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Tina Dean, pianist; Pat Ross, Bonnie McLemore and Ronnie Boles, vocalists.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore an A-line strapless ivory gown with embroidery and beadwork. Her cathedral-length veil, accented with rhinestones, was anchored by a tiara of pearls and rhinestones.
Kacie Roberson and Brookley Knight, both of Meridian, served as maids of honor. Other attendants were Celeste Bryant of Brandon, Kelli East of Clinton, Cory Roberson of Meridian and Candy Blalock of Oxford.
Jera Ruth Brand of Hickory and Josie White of Brandon served as flower girls.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Chad Jones, Chad Williams, Stacy Hathcock and Robert Plunkett, all of Amory, Tim Roesink of Columbus, Ohio, Brad Blalock of Oxford, Phil Webb of Pontotoc and Vince McLemore of Meridian.
Payton McLemore of Meridian was ring bearer. Program attendant was Will Brand.
A reception was held at the church following the ceremony.
Assisting at the reception were Kylie Ethridge, Jessica Ethridge, Tracy Ethridge, Kate Neely, Sheila Grant, Shelley Grant, Kristi Ethridge and Connie Joyner.
After a honeymoon in the Bahamas, the couple resides in Meridian.
