Survivors include her daughter, Valerie Brockway and her husband, Steven, U.S. Navy stationed in Virginia; granddaughters, Stephanie Brockway, Kristina Brockway and Jenna Brockway, all of Virginia; sisters, Frances Sevries of Texas, Brenda Stuckey and her husband, Richard, of Texas and Sandra Dowell and her husband, Mark, RMC, U.S. Navy, (retired), of Texas; brothers, Thomas O'Pry of AZC, U.S. Navy (retired) and his wife, Donita, of Texas; and a dear friend, Bob Sevier of Mississippi CPO, U.S. Navy, (retired).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Zurn, AWC (AW); and her parents, Nina F. O'Pry and Julius E. O'Pry.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association or a hospice of choice.
Visitation will be Saturday 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Former operator of McNair's Grocery
PHILADELPHIA Graveside services for Frances N. McNair will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Linwood Cemetery in Neshoba County. McClain-Hays Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. McNair, 83, of Silver Springs, Md., died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2003, in her home.
Survivors include her daughter, Julie I. Barringer of Silver Springs; a son, William D. McNair of Tampa, Fla.; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

QUITMAN Services for Helen Morita Singleton were held Monday at 10 a.m. at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witness in Heidelberg with Brother Rod Lowery officiating. Burial was in Goodwater Cemetery in Clarke County with Wright's Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Singleton, 78, of Vossburg, died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2003, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include a daughter, Kelly Townsend and her husband, Larry, of Quitman; three brothers, Clifford Judge Smith of Semmes, Ala., Charles Edward Smith of White City, Kan., and Walter Malcolm Smith of Buena Park, Calif.; a sister, Pauline Elizabeth Singleton of Hemet, Calif.; two grandchildren, Alex Townsend and Kimberly Townsend, both of Quitman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Warren Smith and Clifford Elizabeth Judge; and two brothers.
Retired
UNION Services for Willice H. Thorne were held Dec. 17, 2003, at 2 p.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Ed Knox, Warren Hedgepeth, William Walker, Steve Robinson and Johnny Munn officiating. Burial was in Blue Springs Church Cemetery.
Mr. Thorne, 74, of Decatur, died Monday, Dec. 15, 2003, in his home. He was a native of Newton County and was born and raised in the Chapel Hill Community. He was a member of Oakland Baptist Church where he served on many committees, was a deacon, Sunday school superintendent and served in many other capacities in the church.
He and his wife celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2001. He owned and operated his own auto body shop near Decatur where he retired in 2001. He also retired after 25 years of driving a school bus for Newton County Schools. After retiring he worked as a greeter at Wal-Mart in Philadelphia and Meridian. He loved gardening and enjoyed watching everything grow. He will be remembered as a devout husband, loving father and caring grandpa. He loved his family and could never do enough for them.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Janette Kelly Thorne of Decatur; a son, Stanley Thorne and his wife, Cindy, of Newton; a grandson, Matthew Thorne; granddaughters, Dustie Thorne Usry and her husband, Matt, and Heather Jenkins, all of Decatur; brothers, James R. Thorne and his wife, Francis, of Grenada, E.L. Thorne and his wife, Romona, of Decatur, Ernest Thorne and his wife, Patsy, of Pensacola, Fla., and Curtis Thorne and his wife, Nancy, of Decatur; a sister, Eva Jean Glenn and her husband, Gerald, of Decatur; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Earby and Betty Kelly of Pearl, John and Barbarah Kelly of Neshoba, Margie Kelly and her husband, Thornton, of Jackson and E.C. Huey of Decatur; a special daughter-in-law, Libby Jenkins of Decatur; several nieces and nephews, and one special nephew, Wendell Thorne.
Pallbearers will be Paul Frink, Phillip Fisher, David Savell, Brian Savell, Billy Thomas and Bill Ethridge.
Honorary pallbearers will be William Huey, Hancel Thorne, John Blount, Derwood Munn, Adam Savell, Cody McMahan and Bubby Holmes.
