Horton, Coppock

Shannon Noelle Coppock and Ryan Cade Horton were married Saturday, Nov. 1, 2003, at The First Baptist Church of Birmingham. The 7 p.m. ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Todd Howard.
Parents of the couple are Ken and Gloria Coppock of Bessemer, Ala., and Bob and Diane Horton of Meridian.
Grandparents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. H.E. Burnett of Hoover, and Sarah Coppock of Pleasant Grove.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Rose of Decatur, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Horton of Conehatta.
The bride was presented for marriage by her father, Ken Coppock. She wore a strapless silk candlelight gown and carried a bouquet of creme and white roses mixed with stephanotis and English ivy.
Traci Coppock of Birmingham attended her sister as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Valerie Arnold and Crystal Lindsey of Birmingham, Jonica Howard of Decatur and Ivy Estes of Gadsden.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man. Groomsmen included Tyler Coppock, Paul Horton and Lance Quick of Birmingham, and James Webb of Destin, Fla.
Nicholas and Michael Milan of Atlanta served as greeters.
The evening culminated with a reception celebration for family and friends at The Cedars Club of Birmingham. After the reception the couple left for the Caribbean island of St. Lucia.
The couple resides in Birmingham where the bride is employed as a new business underwriter with Fortis, Inc. and the bridegroom is employed with Protective Life Corporation as a business analyst.
