DEKALB Services for Katie Mae Lockett Oliver will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Shuqualak with the Rev. Dr. Charles Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Martin Cemetery in Shuqualak. E.E. McDonald Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Oliver, 75, of Meridian, died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2003, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Survivors include her son, Willie Lockett and his wife, Stella, of Meridian; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; a brother, Willie G. Lockett of Elgin, Ill.; sisters, Mattie Mae Adams of Pascagoula and Mable Holman of Shuqualak; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and six siblings.
Visitation will be Friday 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at E.E. McDonald Community Chapel in Meridian.

SEBASTOPOL Services for Mamie Bell Comby will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Pearl River Community Baptist Church. Burial will be in Old Caanan Cemetery in Neshoba County. Milling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Comby, 76, of Choctaw, died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2003, at Choctaw Health Center.
Survivors include her daughters, Carolyn Gibson and Mary Lou Comby, both of Choctaw, and Martha Comby of Talihina, Okla.; a son, Chester Ben of Choctaw; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Services for Lettie Ann "Ms. Sis or Aunt Sis" Nunn will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Thomas Ardd officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Nunn, 86, of Meridian, died Monday, Dec. 8, 2003, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Survivors include her son, Roosevelt Mosley of Meridian; a daughter, Curtrecia Nunn of New Orleans; a sister, Coran Johnson of Meridian; a brother, Curtis Brown of Staten Island, N.Y.; others known as her children, Florine Smith, Floyd Parker and Curtis Parker, all of Meridian; grandchildren, Cathy Daniels of Riverside, Calif., Darren Mosley of Detroit and Damon Mosley of Austin, Texas; step-children, Clara Trotter, Freddie Lee Curlee, Essie Ree Parker and Annett Hunter, all of Cleveland, Ohio; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Visitation will be Friday 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
CANDO, N.D. Services for Mary Ann Sherven will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church of Cando with the Rev. Tim Vorlage officiating. Burial will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Cando. Dunnigan-Dix Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Sherven, 96, of Cando, died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2003, at Towner County Medical Center in Cando.
She was born the daughter of George and Margaret Massie Gerrard on Oct. 21, 1907, in Bisbee, N.D. She was raised and attended school near Bisbee. She married Theodore Sherven on Sept. 16, 1931, in Edgeland, N.D. Following their marriage, the couple farmed in the Cando area, moving into Cando in 1947. Her husband died on Sept. 24, 1983.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Cando. She enjoyed baking, embroidery work and crocheting, which she began to do after she reached the age of 70.
Survivors include her sons, Donald Sherven and his wife, Judy, of Freeland, Mich., Gerald Sherven and his wife, Renate, of Cando, Dennis Sherven and his wife, Diosalinda, of Meridian, Miss.; daughters, Marlene Roles and her husband, Robert, of Williston, N.D., and Margie Porter and her husband, Gary, of Cando; a daughter-in-law, Doris Walker and her husband, Arlin, of Wapakeneta, Ohio; 24 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her son, Norman; an infant grandchild; her parents; five brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be Sunday 2 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
Arrangements were incomplete at Barham Funeral Home for Betty S. Ethridge, 65, of Collinsville, died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2003, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Arrangements were incomplete at Berry and Gardner Funeral Home for Benjamin Brown, 89, of Kemper County, who died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2003, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Arrangements were incomplete at Berry and Gardner Funeral Home for Vergie Shannon of Meridian, who died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2003, at Meridian Community Living Center.
Arrangements were incomplete at Barham Funeral Home for Doris Dupont, 85, of Meridian, who died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2003, in her home.
Arrangements were incomplete at E.E. McDonald Funeral Home for Minnie P. Rush, 83, of Meridian, who died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2003, at Riley Hospital.
