PHILADELPHIA Services for Christine Sanders Castle will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel with the Revs. Rob Hill and Jerry Beam officiating. Burial will be in Cedarlawn Cemetery in Philadelphia.
Mrs. Castle, 87, of Utica, died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2003, in Utica.
Survivors include her daughters, Chris Pointer of Sallisaw, Okla. and Linda Glasgow of Utica; sons, Bill Lea of Jackson, Charles Lea of Baton Rouge, La. and Tommy Lea of Nashville, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and a brother, Bill Sanders of Woodson, Texas.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 563 E. Main St., Philadelphia, MS 39350 or a charity of choice.
Visitation will be Friday from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Infant Stokes, 3 1/2 months, of Philadelphia, died Monday, Nov. 24, 2003, in Philadelphia.
Survivors include his mother, Damita Dichelle Jim of Philadelphia; father, Andrew Lee Stokes of Carthage; maternal grandmother, Sally Jim of Philadelphia; paternal grandmother, Mattie Clayton of Carthage; maternal grandfather, Dennis Jim Sr. of Philadelphia and paternal grandfather, Jackie Stokes Sr. of Carthage.
QUITMAN Services for Andrew Jackson "Jack" Shirley will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Clay Chancelor officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Wright's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Shirley, 73, of Meridian, died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2003, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local No. 653.
Survivors include his wife, Voncille Shirley; a daughter, Kelly Shirley; a brother, Hollis T. Shirley, all of Meridian; sisters, Lola Mae Till of Fairhope, Ala. and Larue Harris of Riderwood, Ala.; two grandchildren, Brandon Turner and Whitney Turner, both of Meridian.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Doy Shirley and Nancy Smith; a brother, J.D. Shirley; sisters, Thelma Harrison and Velma Langston.
Visitation will be Friday from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home and Saturday one hour prior to the service at the church.
NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. Funeral services for Ouida Clair Chambers will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Stephen D. Posey Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. John Los and J.W. Crouse officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Chambers, 75, of North Augusta, died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2003, in North Augusta. She was a native of Meridian and had made her home in North Augusta for the past 55 years. She was a member of the Cornerstone Community Church and retired from King Mill after more than 25 years of service.
Survivors include her husband, Edward L. Chambers Sr.; a son, Edward L. Chambers Jr. of Thomson, Ga.; daughters, Dorothy Scruggs, Mary Fernandes and Dana Sue Mills, all of Augusta, Ga., Edwina Marshall and Betty Gipson, both of North Augusta and Linda Boullic of Windsor, S.C.; brothers, Marvin Lamar Grayson of Atlanta, Frank Grayson and Harry Madden, both of Augusta, Ga. and Bobby Penton of Lincolnton, Ga. and a sister, Myrl Abear of Augusta; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Steve Fernandes, Frank Fernandes, Dustin Scruggs, William Padgett, Bobby Padgett and Lee Nasworthy.
Visitation will be Friday from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Services for Aubrey Langdon George will be held Saturday at noon at Sunny Mt. Giles Baptist Church in Scooba with the Rev. H. Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Collins Cemetery with Clark's Memorial Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. George, 29, of Scooba, died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2003 in Cleveland, Ohio.
Survivors include his mother, Frankie Ann Collins of Scooba; father, Willie Allen George; two sons, Khalil George and Kaelin George; a sister, Victoria George; two brothers, Khalil George and Khalif George, all of Cleveland, Ohio; and grandparents, Curtis and Clara Collins of Scooba.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Visitation will be held Friday from 6 p.m.-7p.m. at the funeral home.
