Christmas with a cop

Meridian Police Chief Benny DuBose delivers Santa on Tuesday at the Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse parking lot. It was the kick-off for the Meridian Police Benevolent Association's 10th Annual Christmas with a Cop program. Officers from the Meridian Police Department will take needy children shopping this year and buy gifts for HOPE Village for Children. Santa will be at Lowe's Friday through Sunday from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Raffle tickets for prizes are available for a $1 donation.
If you would like to make a donation or purchase tickets, call Meridian Police Benevolent Association President Buck Roberts, Vice President Benny DuBose, Secretary Keith McCary or fund-raising chairman Barbara Staten at 485-1859.
