Knights defeat EHS, 21-0

ENTERPRISE The West Lauderdale Knights accomplished something on Friday night that most teams may never be able to say. The Knights marched into L.J. Davis Field and handed the Enterprise Bulldogs a 21-0 loss, the first shutout EHS has suffered at home in many years.
West Lauderdale head coach Stan McCain was all smiles after the impressive road victory over the Bulldogs.
Enterprise opened the game on offense and could produce nothing and were forced to punt. The Bulldogs did get a 58-yard punt from Cody Windham to force the Knights deep in their own territory at the 26. The Knights would kill most of the first quarter clock by running 13 rushing plays. The West Lauderdale drive would end on fourth down at the EHS 11-yard line to put the Bulldogs back on offense.
At the end of the first period West Lauderdale forced an Enterprise fumble and got back on offense to open the second quarter. The Bulldogs finished with five turnovers on the night.
The first West Lauderdale score would come with 7:26 remaining in the second quarter on a 28-yard touchdown run by quarterback Michael Pogue to give the Knights a 7-0 lead.
After the halftime and a slow offensive third quarter, West Lauderdale would add its second score of the evening. Pogue connected with Christian Trussell for a 66-yard touchdown pass to make the score 14-0 after a PAT from Pogue with 11:16 in the fourth.
The Knights added its final touchdown of the night on a 24-yard run by Dameon Baylor to give West Lauderdale its second win of the year.
West Lauderdale hosts Choctaw Central on Friday, while Enterprise travels to Newton to tangle with the Tigers.
