ST. LOUIS Services for Joseph Franklin Sr. will be held today at noon at Wade Funeral Home-Twin Chapel. Burial will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
Mr. Franklin, 68, of St. Louis, died Saturday, Aug. 16, 2003, in St. Louis. He was a veteran.
Survivors include his daughter, Glenda Franklin Thornton of St. Louis; sons, Joseph Franklin Jr. of Virginia, Reginald Franklin and Jerry Franklin, both of St. Louis; his mother, Alene Franklin; brothers, Frank Franklin, both of Meridian, and Eugene Cockrell of Gulfport and sisters, Shirlene Clark of Meridian, Connie Lewis and Rena Traylor, both of St. Louis.

Graveside services for Scott Harold Hubert will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Magnolia Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. David Wood officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Hubert, 45, of Meridian, died Monday, Aug. 18, 2003, in his home. He was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church and the Meridian Little Theatre.
Survivors include his father, Scott F. Hubert of Meridian and sisters, Edwinna Hubert and Robin Hubert, both of Albuquerque, N.M.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Edwinna Cunningham Hubert.
Services for Leach T. McNeil will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Newell Chapel Methodist Church with the Rev. Wesley Hubbard officiating. Burial will be in Zion Hill Cemetery with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. McNeil, 39, of Meridian, died Monday, Aug. 18, 2003, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Survivors include his mother, Eretta McNeil; a sister, Anita Landrum and her husband, Marshall, and a brother, William McNeil and his wife, Christine, all of Meridian.
Visitation will be Saturday one hour prior to the services at the church.

MOBILE, Ala. Services for Randolph Napier will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Mt. Mariah Baptist Church in Melvin. Burial will be in Belmont A.M.E. Church cemetery with Small's Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Napier, of Melvin, died Thursday, Aug. 14, 2003, at the V.A. Hospital in Biloxi. He was a veteran.
Survivors include daughters, Dorothy Pickens, Caralyn Pickens, Lottie Pickens and Shira Pickens, all of Quitman, Miss., Dessor Howard and Betty Jean Ezel of Mobile, Bobby Mitchell of Long Island, N.Y., Bessie May Napier of Chicago; sons, Anthony Pickens of Brandon, Miss. and Michael Long of Canton, Ohio; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 7 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.

ELK RIVER, Minn. Services for James D. "Don" Edwards will be held Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Bickford officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Dare's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Edwards, 56, of Elk River, Minn., died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2003, at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale, Minn. He was born and raised in Meridian. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam, where he received three Purple Hearts. His career was spent in the electrical field, (working out of Local Union 917-IBEW) where he traveled various areas of the United States. While working on a project in Minnesota (out of Local Union NO. 160-IBEW), he and Brenda became the owner/operator of the Landmark Motel in Elk River. The flag flies at half staff and the wreath hangs in remembrance of a well-loved and much-to-be-missed wonderful man.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Daffan Edwards of Elk River, Minn.; his parents, Leola Ethridge of Meridian; and James H. and Laura Edwards of Mobile, Ala.; daughters, April Kattawar and her husband, David, of Memphis, Tenn., and Amy Brand and her husband, Mike, of Gulfport; a granddaughter, Addison Raley Brand; step-sons, Michael Daffan and his wife, Brooke, and David Daffan and his wife, Shannon, all of Granberry, Texas; sisters, Jan Olson and her husband, Doug, of Meridian and Laura Lee Wallace and her husband, Chuck, of Mobile; his half-brother, Rickey Ethridge, and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Alexander, Gerald Alexander, Robert Alexander, Tommie Lee Myers, Tommie "Jr." James, Wayne James and Cecil Bambers.
Visitation will be today, 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
