Meridian police are still investigating an attempted robbery today that went awry late Friday night.
At about 10 p.m., a black man wearing a brown ski mask entered Landrum Motors on Grand Avenue and demanded the store's owner to raise his hands in the air, according to Meridian police Sgt. Randy Jackson.
The man was next seen fleeing the store on foot after the store's owner pulled a gun on the robber and fired a shot in the air.
