Retired nurse
Services for Lucille Eddins Merrell will be held today at 1:30 p.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Hudson officiating. Burial will be in Jones Chapel Church of God Cemetery.
Mrs. Merrell, 90, formerly of Meridian, died Saturday, May 17, 2003, in Jackson. She was a retired nurse from Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center and Mattie Hersee Hospital. She was a member of Wesley Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include her sons, James Kenneth Merrell Jr. of Meridian and Gary W. Merrell of Melbourne, Fla.; a daughter, Sandra Merrell Peninger of Pearl; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

PHILADELPHIA Services for Ivy Edward Williamson will be held today at 2 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Tam Maddox officiating. Burial will be in Cedarlawn Cemetery.
Mr. Williamson, 90, of Philadelphia, died Monday, May 19, 2003, at Leake Memorial Hospital in Carthage.
Survivors include his four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Altha Hawkins of Philadelphia.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Williamson.
SEBASTOPOL Services for Charles Box Chickaway will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Corinth Baptist Church with the Revs. Arthur Ben and Randy Billie officiating. Burial will be in Holy Rosary Catholic Church Cemetery. Milling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Chickaway, 48, of Oklahoma City, died Tuesday, May 20, 2003, at St. Anthony's Hospital.
Survivors include his daughter, Jodie Box of Dallas; one grandson; his father, Studie Chickaway and a sister, Rebecca Perez, both of Philadelphia; brothers, Edward Lee Chickaway, Ramon Aquirre and John Levi Bell Jr., all of Philadelphia; his adopted mother, Sybil Prickle; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday beginning at 1 p.m. at 244 West Tucker Circle in Philadelphia.
FORT MYERS, Fla. Mack M. Hudson Jr., 84, of Fort Myers, died Monday, May 19, 2003.
National Cremation Society is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Hudson moved to Fort Myers in 1993. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served in World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce of Fort Myers; sisters, Emma Daniel of Gulf Breeze, Fla., Janette Smith of Austin, Texas, and Martha I. Lee of Greensboro, N.C.; a brother, C.R. Hudson of Meridian; and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements were incomplete at James F. Webb Funeral Home for William R. Abston, 71, of Meridian, who died Tuesday, May 20, 2003, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
