Sims, Carruth

Lisa Forbert of Meridian, and Mr. and Mrs. Rick Sims of Picayune announce the engagement of their daughter, Leslie Carole Sims, to Charles William Carruth, son of Dr. Ed Carruth and Mrs. Charlie Geer, both of Meridian.
The wedding will be Saturday, May 17, 2003, at 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Meridian.
Miss Sims is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.C. Terry of Meridian, Col. and Mrs. Sam Forbert of Meridian and Dr. and Mrs. John Atwood of Bon Secour, Ala.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Lamar High School and is currently attending Mississippi State University, pursuing a degree in marketing.
At MSU, she is a member of Kappa Delta Sorority. Miss Sims is employed by Harry Mayer Inc. of Meridian.
Mr. Carruth is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lester Carruth, and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Steelman.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Lamar High School and attended Mississippi State University. He received a degree in business from the University of Mississippi.
While attending Ole Miss, he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity.
Mr. Carruth is self-employed in the construction industry.
A reception will be held at Northwood Country Club following the ceremony.
