PASCAGOULA Services for William Mars Sansing Jr. will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home chapel in Pascagoula. Burial will be at 3 p.m. in Newton Masonic Cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home of Newton in charge of local arrangements.
Mr. Sansing, 75, of Pascagoula, died Friday, April 25, 2003, in Pascagoula. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include a sister, Lois Palmer of Biloxi; a niece, a nephew and a number of great-nieces, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Mars and Carrie Welch Sansing Sr.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home.
Services for Jean Rawson Whaley will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Barham Chapel, with the Rev. David Meadows officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Whaley, 75, of Meridian died Friday, April 25, 2003 at Jeff Anderson Regional Hospital.
Survivors include her husband, Chris Whaley of Meridian; a son, Ronnie Rawson and his wife, Linda of Meridian; three step-children, Vivi Anne Davis and Phillip J. Whaley, both of Meridian and Jeannie Whaley of Hattiesburg; four sisters, Pat Phillips of Butler, Ala., Hazel McAdams of Meridian, Lila Bohanon of Asheville, N.C. and Linda Kaytes of Fayetteville, N.C.; two brothers, Jimmy Eddins of Colorado and Tom Eddins of Demopolis, Ala. one granddaughter, Ronda Woods of Meridian; one grandson, Jerry Rawson, Jr. of Houston, Texas; one great-grandson, Scott Rawson of Houston, Texas; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edgar Rawson, a daughter, Charlotte Rawson Wolverton and a son, Jerry Lynn Rawson, Sr.
Pallbearers will be Bob Kater, Jimmy McAdams, Ray McAdams, Nelson Phillips, Bobby West and Mack White.
Visitation will be Monday two hours prior to the service at the chapel.
Services for Lanette Ezelle will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Ott and Lee Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Erin Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery in Union with the Revs. Steve Wilkins and Mark Smith officiating.
Mrs. Ezelle, 64, of Forest died Friday, April 25, 2003 at her residence. She was a native of Union and had been a resident of Forest since 1965. Mrs. Ezelle was a member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church in Forest. She retired as a teacher's assistant with the Forest City Schools in 1996 after 18 years of service. Mrs. Ezelle had a great love for her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Grace Wolverton and a brother, Harold Wolverton.
Survivors include her husband Willie Ray Ezelle; a son, Alan R. Ezelle and his wife, Merri Giles of Forest; two daughter, Anita E. Nettles and her husband, Troy of Forest and Sharon E. Hollingsworth and her husband, Dr. Jimmy Hollingsworth of Lake; four brothers, Billy Wolverton of Philadelphia, Don Wolverton of Hattiesburg, Paul Wolverton of Sebastapol and Eddie Wolverton of Union; a sister Mary Lang of Sebastopol; five grandchildren, Jessica, Ashley, Kristen Grace Nettles and Madeline Ezelle, all of Forest; and Abby Hollingsworth of Lake.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Hunt, Mervin Slay, Bill Blossom, Jeff Ezelle, Van Ezelle, Lance Garvin, Greg Wolverton and Scott Wolverton.
Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Wolverton, Don Wolverton, Paul Wolverton, Eddie Wolverton, Freddie Ezelle, Lynn Ezelle, Tony Ezelle and James Garvin.
Memorials may be made to Covenant Baptist Church at 818 Marion Blvd. Forest, Miss. 39074.
Visitation will be today from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Services for Louvertia Humphrey will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Thomas C. Howell officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Berry &Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Humphrey, 78, of Meridian, died Tuesday, April 22, 2003, at Riley Hospital.
Survivors include four daughters, Ella Cambell and her husband, Steve, and Betty Humphrey, all of Meridian, Carrie Russey and her husband, Willie Ray, of Shreveport, La., and Shirley Tucker and her husband, Wilson, of Missouri City, Texas; four sons, Willie Humphrey, Robert Humphrey and Dennis Humphrey, all of Meridian, and Sam Humphrey III of San Diego; eight sisters, Bernice Chisolm of Akron, Ohio, Annie Smith and her husband, Al, of Warren, Ohio, Lorine Payton and her husband, George, and Ruby Ratliff and her husband, Prentis, all of Camden, N.J., Mary Pleasant, Mary Gibbs, Virgie Williams and her husband, J.W., and Joyce Bolden, all of Jackson; six brothers, Joshua Bolden and his wife, Eula, Benjamin Bolden, R.L. Bolden and his wife, Bernice, and Junior L. Bolden, all of Jackson, Samuel Bolden of Camden, N.J., and Bobley Bolden and his wife, Clara, of Chicago; 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday from 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
