Concerned shopper speaks out
To the editor:
On Saturday night, April 19, myself, my husband, a friend and her husband went to the Bonita Lakes Mall to do some shopping. Thank goodness our husbands were with us because if we had been by ourselves we would not have stayed.
The teenagers were everywhere. You would have to go around them to go through a entrance of a store. We counted eight different boys with their caps on backwards or sideways. Pants hanging to their knees. We saw three different security guards walk right by the boys and never said a word to them.
In our minds, the mall is for shopping, not for the teenagers to hang out. So it needs to be cleaned up. I am sure we're not the only ones that feel this way.

Child safety a serious issue
To the editor:
I would like to let your readers know that we are so concerned with their child's safety that we have just trained six more Child Passenger Safety Seat Technicians. This curriculum is a week-long course that is very strenuous.
If you have a child safety seat that has not been installed by a CPST certified technician then I strongly suggest that you come by the Meridian Police Department and have one of our technicians install the seat.
I might suggest you call me for an appointment at 484-6830 due to the fact that our technicians are also police officers and this would help in assuring a minimal waiting time.
I would also like to add that we are still available for civic/church groups for presentations if you have an upcoming event. Just give me a call at the same number.

Internet site more useful after changes
To the editor:
I have not lived full time in Meridian since 1971, but through the Internet site I can visit every day. I want to thank you for the recent change made in the obituaries listing to make the names much more clear. Please pass along my gratitude.
