Ethridge, Walton

George D. and Tanya Van Devender of Meridian announce the engagement of her daughter, Ashley Paige Ethridge, to Rusty Walton, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Walton of Little Rock. Miss Ethridge is also the daughter of the late Robert Walter Ethridge of Meridian.
The wedding will be Saturday, June 21, 2003, at 6 p.m. at Midway Baptist Church in Meridian.
Miss Ethridge is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Ethridge of Meridian, Gladys Ethridge of Meridian and the late Robert L. Ethridge.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Northeast Lauderdale High School and will receive her bachelor's degree from Mississippi State University Meridian Campus in May. She plans to pursue her master's degree in social work at the University of Alabama.
Miss Ethridge is employed at Calvary Baptist Church of Meridian as the minister of students.
Mr. Walton is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Claiborne Knight of Union, Wilma Ruth "Tootsie" Walton of Little Rock and the late Henton Walton.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Newton County High School and is attending East Central Community College, where he is pursuing an associate's degree in mortuary science.
Mr. Walton is employed by Milling Funeral Home in Union and Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Little Rock, where he serves as youth pastor.
A reception will be held in the church fellowship hall following the ceremony.
