Mr. and Mrs. Thomas W. Rogers Jr. of Sylvarena announce the engagement of their daughter, Tara Denise, to Elbert "Bert" Lum Wright III, son of Marsha Downey Bridgers and Elbert Lum Wright Jr., both of Vicksburg.
The wedding will be Saturday, April 12, 2003, at 4 p.m. at Raleigh United Methodist Church.
Miss Rogers is the granddaughter of Dolly Knezevich of Raleigh and the late Mike Knezevich Sr., Kay Rogers of Sylvarena and the late Thomas W. Rogers Sr.
The bride-elect is a 1998 highest honors graduate of Raleigh High School and received a degree from Jones County Junior College. She received her bachelor's degree in human sciences, with a concentration in food, nutrition and dietetics, from Mississippi State University.
Mr. Wright is the grandson of Frances Downey of Vicksburg and the late Herbert Downey Jr., Johnnie Howle of Union and Elbert Lum Wright Sr. of Vicksburg.
The bridegroom-elect is a 1998 graduate of Warren Central High School and a 2000 graduate of Jones County Junior College with a degree in forestry technology.
He is employed by the United States Forest Service in Forest.
