Two men were transported to a local hospital with what appeared to be serious injuries at about 10 p.m., Saturday after they were both hit by the same car near the intersection of 29th Avenue and Eighth Street.
The Meridian Police Department's accident reconstruction team was called to the scene.
Sgt. H.T. Null of the Meridian Police Department said the two men were apparently running across Eighth Street when they were hit.
Lorenzo Braggs, 40, of Meridian, said he was driving behind the car that hit the two men. Frecardo Ashley, 28, also of Meridian, was a passenger in Braggs' car. Both said the men, black males, were running across the road when they were hit.
