King James Version. New International Version. Living Bible.
Never before have there been so many Bibles available. With so many translations, it is sometimes difficult to know which offers a true account of the Lord's word.
Australian Bible scholar and lecturer Les Garrett will provide insight on the subject during a three-night speaking engagement at Sharp Memorial Methodist Protestant Church, 12102 Highway 494, Collinsville.
Garret, who compiled the book "Which Bible Can We Trust," will discuss his findings at 7 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday.
In his book, Garret researched the origins of the different translations and translators including those of the new translations.
In addition to his Biblical research, Garrett is also noted for coining the popular slogan "This is the day, Come and be informed."
