Enterprise man heads for Persian Gulf

Seaman Pete Kowall, who enlisted in the U.S. Navy through the delayed entry program in December 2001, is headed for the Persian Gulf.
After graduation from high school, Kowall left for boot camp at Great Lakes Training Center, Great Lakes Ill. He graduated on Oct. 25, 2002.
Kowall then attended technical school at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. After graduating in the top 10 of his class on Feb. 6, he spent two weeks of leave at home in Enterprise.
He returned to San Antonio to await his orders. He will leave on Sunday for the Persian Gulf, where he will join the "Blue Wolves."
The Blue Wolves is a sea control squadron assigned to the carrier USS Abraham Lincoln. Kowall should arrive on the carrier on March 18.
Kowall is a 2002 graduate of Enterprise High School. His parents are Dave &Sheila Kowall of Enterprise.
