Donald Sellers
GILBERTOWN, Ala. Services for Donald Sellers will be held today at 11 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Mosley Cemetery in Gilbertown.
Mr. Sellers, 79, of Gilbertown, died Monday, Feb. 24, 2003, in his home.
Survivors include his sons, James Donald Sellers and Terry Sellers, both of Gilbertown, Leroy Sellers of Silas, Ala.; daughters, Margie Sellers Todd, Marguerite James and Martha S. McInnis, all of Gilbertown, and Mamie Beasley of Millry, Ala.; a twin sister, Dorothy James of Gilbertown; 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Sellers; and a son, Tony Sellers.
X.L. Sharpling Sr.
FOREST Services for X.L. Sharpling Sr. will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Ott and Lee Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Springfield Baptist Cemetery.
Mr. Sharpling of Newton County, formerly of Forest, died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003, at The Specialty Hospital of Meridian. He was a native of McComb and had lived in Newton County since 1986. He formerly lived in El Paso, Texas, and was a member of Clarke Venable Baptist Church in Decatur.
Survivors include his daughter, Janet Zynosky-Sharpling and her husband, Chester, of Decatur; a son, X.L. Sharpling Jr. of Newton; sisters, Lorena Markham of Nashville, Tenn., and Norma Lee Bong of Merced, Calif.; a brother, Robert Cecil Sharpling of Corpus Christi, Texas; three grandchildren, Erica Zynosky-Sharpling of Chunky, Claudia Zynosky-Sharpling and William Zynosky-Sharpling, both of Decatur.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Finch Sharpling in 1998.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Graveside services for Dewayne Benton will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery with the Revs. John Meadows and Kim Culpepper officiating. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Benton, 35, of Meridian, died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003, in his home.
Survivors include his parents, James and Rita Benton; a brother, Robby Benton; his grandfather, E.J. Benton; a special niece, Heather Benton; and his girlfriend, Linda Robinson, all of Meridian.
Pallbearers will be Tony Slayton, Ken Wilson, Allen Wilson, Robby Beasley, Scott McQuaig, Randy Young and John Slayton.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

QUITMAN Graveside services for Brian Neil Lafferty will be held Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at Shady Grove Cemetery in Clarke County with the Rev. Glenn Lafferty officiating. Wright's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Lafferty, 17, of Franklin, Ga., died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003, in his home.
Survivors include his father, David Dewayne Lafferty of Shreveport, La.; his mother, Lisa Dick and a sister, Crystal Lafferty, both of Franklin; two step-sisters, Ashley Pickard of Shreveport and Heather Dick of Franklin; a step-brother, Keith Pickard of Shreveport; his paternal grandmother, Virginia Lafferty of Shreveport; and his maternal grandparents, Sandra and Larry Teeter of Franklin.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, David O. Lafferty.
Dora Boykin
Retired Woolworth store clerk
Services for Dora Boykin will be held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at Sharp Memorial Methodist Protestant Church with the Revs. Wayne Hunt and Billy Frank Gerald officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Boykin, 92, of Collinsville, died Monday, Feb. 24, 2003, at Riley Hospital.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Ruth Sharp and her husband, Mark, of Collinsville; a granddaughter, Leah Sharp of Indianapolis, Ind.; four grandsons, Robert Davis, Rodney Davis, Roger Davis and Ronny Davis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Boykin; a daughter, Nancy Davis; and a grandson, Ronald Davis.
Pallbearers will be Allen Stewart, Jeff Little, Terry Fleming, Jimmy Hunt, George Metrolis and Louis Fleming.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
