Services for Helen Estelle Keller Boyette will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Frankie Ray Boyette and Jesse Long officiating. Burial will be in Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Boyette, 82, of Meridian, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2003, at Guardian Angel Hospice.
Survivors include her her daughters, Wanda Boyette Hardy and her husband, Tommy L.; Robin Boyette Coker and her husband, Clyde Rex Coker Jr.,all of Meridian; sons, Eric Michael Hardy and his wife, Katie, of Quitman, Lester Christopher Hardy of Meridian; Amy Danielle Hardy, Clyde Rex Coker III "Trey" and Justin Michael Hardy, all of Meridian and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Junior Boyette; parents, Joshua W. Keller and Dovie Pittman Keller.
Pallbearers will be Eric Hardy, John Suttles, S.L. Wilson Jr., James Lovett, Ricky Posey, Otis Golf, Ralph Stewart and Ricky Smith.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.- 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Richard E. Lindsey
Services for Richard E. Lindsey will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Russell Baptist Church with the Revs. Clay Chancelor and Wilton Bennett officiating. Burial will be in New Live Oaks Cemetery in Selma, Ala., at 1:30 p.m. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Lindsey, 81, of Meridian, died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003, at Rush Foundation Hospital. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in World War II. He was a member of Russell Baptist Church.
Survivors include his daughter, Mary Ann Lindsey Swift and her husband, Wayne, of Meridian; a son, Richard E. Lindsey Jr. and his wife, Lynn, of Grandview, Texas; grandchildren, Chris Swift, Kristi Swift and Tyler Lindsey; a great-grandson, Will Swift; a sister, Dorothy Freeman of Demopolis, Ala.; a brother, Lindy Lindsey of Linden, Ala.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ruth Lindsey; parents, Mattie and Charles Lindsey; brothers, Joe and Jim Lindsey.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
Pallbearers will be Freddie Lindsey, Lindy Berg, Ronnie Freeman, Kenny Freeman, Chris Swift and Ricky Posey.
Honorary pallbearer will be Tyler Lindsey.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mildred Long
Memorial services for Mildred Long will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel.
Mrs. Long, 67, of Newton, died Monday, Feb. 24, 2003, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Dewayne Benton
Graveside services for Dewayne Benton will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Benton, 35, of Meridian, died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003, in Meridian.
Visitation will be Wednesday 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ira D. Watson
Retired
Services for Ira D. Watson will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Fitkin's Memorial Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Roosevelt Clark officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery. Berry and Gardner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Watson, 77, of Meridian, died Friday, Feb. 21, 2003, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Survivors include her three daughters, Diane Amos and her husband, Fredrick, Linda Watson, and Penny Irby and her husband, Jeff, all of Meridian; three sons, Willie George Watson and his wife, Sherry, of Rochester, N.Y., James Donnie Watson and Billy Watson, both of Meridian; a sister, Elouise Granger of Meridian; 13 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband and a daughter.
Visitation will be Wednesday 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
