Our Indian neighbors a short drive up Highway 19 to the north have landed another huge economic development project that fits perfectly with their vision to create a premier resort destination in the red clay hills of Neshoba County.
The Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians and Hard Rock Cafe International reached an agreement that will bring the first Hard Rock to Mississippi. This is a milestone in continuing development of the Pearl River Resort.
The Hard Rock Beach Club will be an electrifying addition to Pearl River Resort's newest attraction, a 9-acre white sand beach. The new project comes with an indoor-outdoor tropical environment with heated pools, open air porches, live performance stages and a full-service restaurant. The beach will feature waterfalls and a coral reef for snorkeling and swimming, all part of the 295-acre Lake Pushmataha project.
Most Mississippians can only marvel at the visionary success story Chief Phillip Martin has written for the Choctaw Indians. He is creating a mecca of entertainment, employment and economic opportunity.
