    Bishop Jimmie D. Traylor

    DEKALB Services for Bishop Jimmie D. Traylor will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Yantley, Ala., with the Rev. Apostle Curtis DuBose officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with E.E. McDonald Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Traylor, 81, of Meridian, died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
    Survivors include his wife, Ida Mae Traylor; five children, Willie Clark and his wife, Rosie, and Priscilla Kersh, all of Meridian, Gary Clark and his wife, Carolyn, of Tallahassee, Fla., Jennifer Brooks and her husband, Theodis, of Grand Bay, Ala., Deloris Kersh and her husband, Tony, of Mobile, Ala.; two brothers, Matthews Traylor of Charlotte, N.C., and Apostle W.T. Traylor and his wife, Ola, of Alexander City, Ala.; sisters, Josephine Horton of Meridian, Evangelist Frances Hillman of Grand Rapid, Mich., Ollie Easter and her husband, Claude, of Chicago and Voncile Welch of Detroit; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers.
    Visitation will be Friday 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at New Beginning Holiness Church in Meridian.
    Marvin Thornton
    Self-employed truck driver
    DEKALB Services for Marvin Thornton were held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Binnsville Methodist Church with the Revs. John Wood and Joe Landrum officiating. Burial will be in Binnsville Cemetery with Stephens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
    Mr. Thornton, 81, of Scooba, died Monday, Feb. 3, 2003, at Regency Hospital in Meridian. He was a self-employed truck driver in the diary industry. He was a veteran of World War II.
    Survivors include his wife, Lois Thornton and a daughter, Theresa Harpole and her husband, Johnny, all of Scooba; a sister, Annie Hunter and her husband, Grady, of Macon; two brothers, Clarence Thornton of California and Gene Bryan and his wife, Minnie, of Meridian; and three granddaughters.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Katie Thornton.
    Jane B. Carson
    Homemaker
    Services for Jane B. Carson were held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Elvin Sunds officiating. Burial was in Magnolia Cemetery. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
    Mrs. Carson, 85, of Meridian, died Monday, Feb. 3, 2003, at Rush Foundation Hospital. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.
    She loved dancing and was the former director and choreographer of Meridian Youth Theater and was a former dance instructor at Mary Alpha School of Dance.
    She was a member of Meridian High School Band Booster and Lions All-State Band and worked with Meridian Swim Association for more than 35 years. She was a graduate of Mississippi State College for Women.
    Survivors include her daughters, Carol C. Long and her husband, Frank, and Louise Ivey and her husband, Gene, all of Meridian; sons, Michael R. Carson of Meridian and Donald J. Carson and his wife, Susan, of Atlanta; nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, one niece and several nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Carson; two brothers, Nelson and Fred Bullock.
    Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, St. Patrick Catholic Church or a favorite charity.
    Georgette Williams
    Retired respiratory therapist
    Memorial services for Georgette Williams were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Berry and Gardner Funeral Home with the Rev. Theodis McSwain officiating.
    Mrs. Williams, 51, of Meridian, died Monday, Feb. 3, 2003, at Riley Hospital.
    Survivors include her mother, Dorothy Payne; her grandmother, Salema Robinson; brothers, Tyrone Harris and Gregory Harris; six children, Angela Rudolph, Tracey Watters, Mingon Williams, Franchesea Williams, Keith Williams and Virginia Williams; grandchildren, Erika Rudolph, Angelia Rudolph, Tailyn Virgil and Jailyen Harris; and special friends, Stephanie Miller, Robert Virgil, Aaron Shook, the Rev. Theodis and Sandra McSwain; Anna Durbin, Marquis Rudolph and Dedrick Harris.
    Sarah Margret Minus
    MILLRY, Ala. Graveside services for Sarah Margret "Maggie" Minus were held Wednesday, Jan. 29, at Kimbrough Cemetery with the Rev. Billy Kendrick officiating. Phillips Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
    Infant Minus, 5 days old, died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2003, at University of South Alabama Medical Center in Mobile.
    Survivors include her father, Trae Minus; her mother, Torrie Minus; and her sister, Catherine Elizabeth Minus, all of Millry; paternal grandparents, Mann and Joann Minus of Livingston; maternal grandparents, John and Glenda Armstrong of Millry; and paternal great-grandmother, Cathrine Landrum of Butler.
    Gene Bradley
    Arrangements were incomplete at James F. Webb Funeral Home of Newton for Gene Bradley, 58, of Newton, who died Thursday, Feb. 6, 2003, at Newton Regional Hospital.
