Bulldogs eye a Georgia prize

STARKVILLE The Mississippi State Bulldogs will try to do something Saturday that no other team has done this season. They'll attempt to beat the Georgia Bulldogs at Stegeman Coliseum in Athens, Ga.
Georgia puts its 8-0 home record on the line when Mississippi State invades for a 6 p.m. encounter. SportSouth will televise the Southeastern Conference matchup.
Despite losing a 94-91 decision to Vanderbilt Wednesday, Georgia has a 12-5 overall record, a No. 15 ranking by The Associated Press and the respect of the 21st-ranked Bulldogs from the state of Mississippi.
Jonas Hayes and Steve Thomas are the tallest Bulldogs from Georgia at 6-8 each and Chris Daniels is 6-7.
When it comes to size, Campbell lends a 7-foot frame to Mississippi State. Campbell has played in all 17 games this season with two starts. He averages 4.6 points and 2.6 rebounds.
As the primary backup to Mario Austin at the center position, Campbell is satisfied with his current role.
Good things have happened for Campbell and the Bulldogs recently as they have won three consecutive games in the SEC and have gotten right back into the Western Division race.
After Mississippi State defeated rival Ole Miss 58-57 Wednesday, it improved to 13-4 overall and 3-3 in the conference.
Stansbury says teams often get into trouble by looking too far ahead which is something he tries not to do.
While in the midst of a three-game losing streak in the SEC, Campbell knew the Bulldogs could work out of it.
