Helen Smith Lee Ingram

UNION Services for Helen Smith Lee Ingram will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Milling Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Malcolm Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Little Rock Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Ingram, 84, of Meridian, died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2003, in her home. She was a member of Northcrest Baptist Church in Meridian.
Survivors include her husband, James B. Ingram of Meridian; two daughters, Gwendolyn Smith Maness of Birmingham, Ala., and Helen Joe Lee Johnson of Meridian; a son, W.L. Smith of Little Rock; two sisters, Clarene James of Little Rock and Dot Cooper of Alabama; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Macie Smith; a sister, Catherine Harbour; and a brother, Jimmie L. Smith.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ethel Lucille Humphreys
Retired seamstress
NEWTON Graveside services for Ethel Lucille Humphreys will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Lawrence Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Laird officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Humphreys, 90, of Bastrop, La., formerly of Lawrence, died Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2003, at Hillview Nursing Home in Bastrop. She was a seamstress for The Newton Co. and La-Z-Boy Chair Co. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy Woodham of Homer, La., and Martha Brown of Lawrence; a son, Jamie Humphreys of Lawrence; three grandchildren, Wayne Woodham of Homer, Jim Humphreys and Lori Gatlin of Meridian; two great-grandchildren, Morgan Humphreys and Nathan Gatlin of Meridian.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Memmon E. Humphreys; and her parents, Elisha and Dora Weed Thrash.
Visitation will be Friday beginning at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
Larry D. Dixon
Services for Larry D. Dixon will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Stephens Funeral Home with the Rev. David M. Meadows officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mr. Dixon, 71, of Kosciusko, formerly of Meridian, died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2003, at the veterans home in Kosciusko.
Samuel K. Nance
Retired mobile home salesman
Samuel K. Nance, 59, of Meridian, died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2003, in his home.
Mr. Nance was cremated. Barham Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Denise J. Nance of Meridian; five children, Tyndra "Tiny" Turner and Chuck Nance, both of Laurel, Pete Nance of Vinton, La., Kandi Nance and Jennie Nance, both of Meridian; a stepdaughter, Catherine Nause of Atlanta; five sisters, Kathy Hobbs of Pensacola, Fla., Dorothy Haigler of Laurel, Joann Callicott, Elaine Eakes and Connie Anderson, all of Meridian; a brother, David Nance of Pensacola; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Kelly Nance and Ollie Mae Nance. He was a member of First Church of God in Meridian and retired after 33 years in the mobile home sales business.
The family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
Lila Lee Ensley
BOSTON Services for Lila Lee Ensley were held at the Chapel of Woodlawn Cemetery Everett. Vazza Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. A service will be held in Meridian at a later date.
Mrs. Ensley, of Boston, formerly of Meridian, died Monday, Jan. 13, 2003, in Boston.
Survivors include her daughters, Diana Lee Vazza and her husband, Louis, of East Boston and Falmouth, Ma., Talleen Sue Holloway of Eugene, Ore.; a son, Bryan Eugene Ensley and his wife, Susan, of San Antonio, Texas; sisters, Jose Rodriquez and Josephine Witzke of California; nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Boris "Gene" Ensley; siblings, Henry, Charles, Milton, Mary, Robert, Gregory, Ralph and Peter Benton.
