A suspect in the Wednesday armed robbery of a Dixie Oil Company service station was arrested within 20 minutes of the incident.
The station is at 6508 Old U.S. Highway 80 in Toomsuba.
Delaney Eugene McWilliams, 28, of 8004 Poplar Springs Drive was arrested Wednesday afternoon and was being held in the Lauderdale County jail on $15,000 bond.
Maj. Ward Calhoun of the Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department said 911 dispatchers received the call about 1:30 p.m.
After taking information from the victim and witnesses, a description of the suspect's vehicle was radioed to officers and county agencies in the eastern part of the county.
Two suspects from Texas are also in the county jail on charges of possession of marijuana: Enrique Moreno, 30, 100 South Adams St., Mission, Texas; and Victor Moreno, 28, 403 13th St. South, Carrizo Spring, Texas.
They were stopped by Mississippi Department of Transportation officers, who found 600 pounds of marijuana in their 18-wheeler. Bond for both has been set at $200,000.
MDOT Capt. Ronnie Harris said the truck was stopped on Interstate 59 at the 152 mile marker on a routine investigation.
