A 43-year-old Meridian man was being held on $20,000 bond today in connection with an armed robbery of a North Meridian convenience store.
Thomas Wilson, of Mar-Ray Apartments, Apt. 384, is charged with taking an unspecified amount of money from the Super Stop at 144 North Hills St. and just off Highway 39.
Meridian Police Detective Shane Massie said Wilson on Monday at about 9:50 p.m. entered the store, walked around the counter and ordered the female clerk to give up the money.
Massie said Wilson was apprehended about an hour later in his apartment, located west of the store, records show.
Massie said Wilson became a suspect after officers talked to a witnesses who saw him leaving the store and also after officers looked at the store's surveillance videotape.
Massie said the missing money has not been recovered nor do police know whether Wilson had a weapon at the time of the robbery.
