Tadlock paces Leake past Kemper, 84-63

MADDEN Greggina Tadlock scored 34 points to lead Leake Academy's Rebelettes to an 84-63 win over Kemper Academy Saturday night.
The teams combined to hit 20. 3-point shots with Kemper getting 11 of the trifectas.
Kemper led 16-12 in the first quarter behind three long-range baskets from Libby Myers.
The Rebelettes, who had a 14-game winning streak snapped Friday at Manchester Academy, led 21-19 at the end of the first period and carried a 43-32 lead into halftime as Tadlock ended the half with a pair of layups.
Kemper would get no closer than eight points the rest of the night.
Tadlock, a 5-foot-7 freshman, had 14 points in the second quarter and added nine more in the third as Leake upped its lead to 66-51.
Kemper's 63 points marked the fifth time Leake has allowed 60 points or more this season, the most in Wolverton's 28 years at LA.
Leake also got 15 points from Kristin Caldwell, 13 from Anna Lisa Posey, 11 from Jessica Dickens, and seven from Laurin Gross. Posey hit three treys with Dickens, Gross, and Tadlock having two apiece.
Of Kemper's 11. 3-pointers, Myers had six and Leslie Beach had five. Myers finished with 22 points, while Beach had 18. Eve Darnell added 10, Megan Whitaker seven, and Blair Johnson six. While the Lady Rams had 11 3s, they connected on only seven baskets from inside the arc.
Mosley has been out after undergoing surgery on her left wrist.

The Rebels jumped out to a 65-18 halftime lead as they improved to 13-3. Leake led 87-24 to start the fourth quarter despite the entire second half being played with a running clock.
Daniel Jones led 15 Leake scorers with 17 points. Charlie Lavender had 13, while Joshua Chamblee, Matthew Wilkerson, Austin Agent, and Brian Henry had eight each.
Kemper, 1-12, got nine points from Kyle Davis and eight from Austin Thomas.
