Retired loan officer
SPUR, Texas Services for Eloise Allen will be held today at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Spur with the Rev. Larry Burton officiating. Burial will be in Spur Memorial Cemetery with Campbell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Allen, 78, died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002, in Lubbock, Texas. She was born in Chunky, Miss., to William Eugene and Lela Brown Little and graduated from high school in Chunky in 1942.
She married Lyle Allen on Dec. 23, 1942, in Meridian. She was a retired loan officer and a homemaker. She was awarded Business Associate of the Year in 1997 by the American Businesswoman's Association. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Spur.
Survivors include one son, David Allen of Spur; one daughter, Becky McGalliard of Spur; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, who died in 1993.
Hulon Lamar Ward
QUITMAN Graveside services for Hulon Lamar Ward will be held today at 2 p.m. at Stonewall Cemetery with the Revs. Nathaniel Broadhead and Lamar Reed officiating. Wright's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Ward, 72, of Quitman, died Thursday, Dec. 19, 2002, at Lakeside Living Center. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a retired textile worker.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

THOMASVILLE, Ala. Services for Frankie Mae Etheridge will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Water Baptist Church with the Rev. Rick Slingluff officiating. Burial will be in Sweet Water Cemetery with O'Bryant Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Etheridge, 93, of Thomasville, died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002, at Thomasville Infirmary. She was a member of the Sweet Water United Methodist Church.
Survivors include four sons, Edward Kelley, and his wife, Ramona, of Thomasville; Gilmer Kelley and his wife, Celeste, of Enterprise; James Kelley and his wife, Wilma, of Sweet Water; and Robert A. Kelley and his wife, Mary Ann, of Meridian, Miss.; a daughter-in-law, Kathryn Kelley of Pensacola, Fla.; a sister, Ida Belle Noland of Linden; seven grandchildren, Kenny Kelley and Tim Kelley, both of Thomasville; Karen Grice of Jay, Fla.; Cindy Ross of Meridian; David Kelley of Lafayette, Ind.; Kay Rye of Clarkesville, Tenn.; and Kathey Kelley of Pensacola, Fla.; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Tony Grice, David Kelley, Kenny Kelley, Tim Kelley, Jim Ross and Will Rye.

BUTLER, Ala. Graveside services for Nuevene Rhew Albrecht will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Chamberlin Cemetery in Kingsville, Texas. Bumpers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Albrecht, 93, of Butler, died Thursday, Dec. 19, 2002, at Benchmark Health Care in Marion. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include three daughters, Frankie Marquardt of Corvalis, Ore.; Jackie Robertson of Georgetown, Texas; and Jo Smith of Butler; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Arrangements were incomplete at James F. Webb Funeral Home for Daisy K. McLemore, of Vicksburg, who died Thursday, Dec. 19, 2002, in Vicksburg.
