90th Birthday
Louise Taylor will celebrate her 90th birthday with family and friends. She was born Nov. 25, 1912. She has four children, 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
50th anniversary
The children of Mr. and Mrs. Mickey L. Smith will host a 50th anniversary reception in their parents honor Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002. The event will begin at 2 p.m. at Houlka First Baptist Church Family Life Center. The Smiths were married Nov. 29, 1952. They have four children, Margaret, Mary, Michael and Morris. The couple requests no gifts.
50th anniversary
The children and grandchildren of Ray and Ann McKenzie hosted a reception to celebrate their parents and grandparents 50th anniversary. The event was held Saturday, Nov. 23, 2002, in the fellowship hall of Hebron Ridge Baptist Church. The McKenzie's were married in the home of Jim and Elizabeth Conally in Jackson, with the Revs. Joe Jones and Robert Matheny officiating.
25th Anniversary
Ricky Roy and Debbie Shirley of Whynot celebrated their 25th anniversary with a family trip to Chattanooga, Tenn. The Shirleys were married Nov. 19, 1977, at Bethany Baptist Church in Whynot by the Rev. Jimmie D. Garrard Sr. They have two daughters, Heather Shirley and Hannah Shirley. Mrs. Shirley is the former Debbie Davis.
50th anniversary
The family of J.C. and Helen Blount Jones will host a reception Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002, from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. at Midway Baptist Church to celebrate the couple's 50th anniversary. J.C. and Helen have two children, Mike Jones and his wife, Tammy, and Martha Johnson and her husband, Richard, all of Meridian; four grandchildren, Shannon Mann Baker and her husband, Troy, of Macon, Apryl Mann, Mandy Gabril and Colby Jones, all of Meridian; and two great-grandchildren, Gracey-Madyson Baker and Ansley McCall Baker, of Macon. The Jones' were married Dec. 20, 1952, in Philadelphia.
50th anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Billy Robinson of Meridian celebrated their 50th anniversary Sunday, Oct. 27, 2002, with a reception at the Welcome Center of First Baptist Church of Meridian. The event was hosted by their son, Steve Robinson of Meridian and his daughter, Chloe Robinson of Atlanta; their daughter, Karol Vaughn and her husband, Chris, and their daughter, Taylor Vaughn of Meridian. The couple were married Oct. 29, 1952, in Meridian. Mrs. Robinson is the former Frances Rebecca Thompson.
